Coptic Christian Girls are being kidnapped by Muslims in Egypt. They are being forced to convert to Islam or are being married to muslim men which has the same affect as converting. When the families of these girls go to the police they are sometimes locked up. If they complain muslims burn down the families home and kill the girls family members. This has been going on for some time to the Copts which have been in Egypt since before Islam existed. Since Mubarak was deposed there has been an increase in violence by muslims towards copts.

I recall a similar instance in Iraq. After Hussein was overthrown, Muslims began murdering Christians in large numbers. Hussein was secular so he actually protected Christians. The best chance religious minorities have in the middle east is a secular leader.

I have a couple of very nice customers who are Copts. They have been in the states for several years and have told me many times how happy they are to be free from the persecution there.

And you see the dilemma here. As terrible as Saddam was, his regime was secular and was able to maintain order through force of arms, keeping sectarian divisions at bay. Once you get rid of him, Christians start leaving in droves.

I would support a Constitutional amendment banning Sharia. I don't want it to have any hope of spreading to America.
