He had an excellent vocabulary. He was probably mad about having to walk to the courthouse. She admitted she was a tyrant and damnit if she wasn’t telling the truth for once!

That sounds like you believe it's okay for the government to treat Americans like this. How much governmental abuse would it take before you would American up?
If they had shot him, would that be enough of a violation of the guy's rights for you to be concerned?
The blind guy actually had a gun and the cops took it from him, would that abuse rise to a level you find concerning?
I have lived over 60 years with cop abuse so I can't get very upset over such trite crap.
I guess if one has been coddled for 30 years and has no real world experience they might freak out over this.
Its too pedestrian for me.
You do find it to be an acceptable state of affairs for the government to treat Americans this way.
sad.
Well... it is England.A friend was pulled over an hour after he'd picked up his new car. He went off on a "Haven't you got anything better to do, I know my rights!" rant before the police even had a chance to tell him why he'd been stopped. They went over his car for defects with a fine tooth comb, and found the screenwash bottle was empty. They gave him a ticket for it, then pointed to his loose and dangling number plate, and advised him to fix it.
What a weird thing to say... didn't this all start with Rodney King, a minority, being beaten by four white cops? That so many are so privileged to get upset about such trite nonsense, sad.

An American minding his own business is snatched off the street and and is incarcerated for no legitimate reason.
You're fine with that.
I am curious if your opinion will change when it's your turn to be put in jail for minding your own business.
uh-huh.... and ?And cops have beaten white folks also as long as we have had cops.
False Flag**** pigs. Can stop a blind man for carrying a stick but puss out when having to stop a lunatic from shooting up a school.
Defund the police
uh-huh.... and ?
Yawn
I would not be because I would have played along with the asshole cops not started screaming about my rights. We all know no good is gonna come from that.
Cops are major ass holes. Unless you have a way to change it, play along or turn a hassle into an event. I don't care.
Rodney King was brought up.
We all know that was blamed on abuse of blacks. Cops mostly don't care, they abuse anyone.
But when it happens to a black, a city burns.
Legally blind does not mean that you can't see anything.interesting how well the "legally blind man" is walking without any aids. Is the "man" legally blind?
While I do not agree with the LEO, the title of the vid / thread is misleading.
If we just tolerate oppressive government we can get by, right?
You sound like an abuse victim making excuses for the abuser.
To heck with your servile unAmerican attitude.Exercising and expressing your rights is not a crime.
more often than not there is a protest/riot... but I think history shows that their reaction is not disproportionate to their treatment.Rodney King was brought up.

This looks like a true "contempt of cop" charge.
The man dispelled any suspicion that the police had of any crime within the first 30 seconds of contact. They should have left him alone. Instead, because she was butthurt, she continued to push the issue and escalate until an illegal arrest was made.
What is the point of demanding an id from someone who is clearly not the danger he was suspected of?It appears they were investigating the report of a person with a gun yes? So he is stopped and questioned. They can ask for ID in most states at that point. They can detain at that point as well.
Its codgy though after. Once ID was confirmed he should have been released. I imagine the charge is dropped already, but he was such a poopeyhead they wanted to take him for the ride. Uncool.
What I don't understand is this insatiable need for cops to have to ID everybody... that causes most of the problems, as far as I can tell.It amazes me that there was any discussion in this thread at all.
Cop walks up thinking that something in his pocket was a weapon.
He showed them it wasn't a weapon.
They arrested him, anyway.
These idiot cops were clearly in the wrong.
They have to suspect the person of committing or about to commit a crime. Once they see it is a walking stick it is clear he did nothing wrong. It appears they were investigating the report of a person with a gun yes? So he is stopped and questioned. They can ask for ID in most states at that point.
Until they determine a crime or not. They determined it pretty much immediately and should have just said, thank you sir, have a nice day. They can detain at that point as well.
Cops dropped the ball on this one...Its codgy though after. Once ID was confirmed he should have been released. I imagine the charge is dropped already, but he was such a poopeyhead they wanted to take him for the ride. Uncool.
