Words can't express. Why don't you try this in the basement.
ooooo an Internet call out.... (shivers)
yeh... ur winning.
Did that little squirrel look like
this?!?!
What do you have to say now?
I love squirrels. They are bright, inquisitive creatures and those who live around people... and schools... usually learn quickly that people like to give them good things to eat because they are cute and fuzzy. This baby squirrel was simply running up to kids to mooch goodies. The cop was a douche. Nobody who saw that writhing little animal could possibly say that it wasn't hurt.
OTOH, I like most animals better than most people, so this kind of abuse rankles me.
They were there. We were not. I'll take their eyewitness statements over some posters over-reactions, tyvm. The squirrel was taken in by animal volunteers, examined, and released back into the wild. The squirrel was not harmed in the incident.
Over-reaction. Sorry, the tell-tale sign of a serial killer in development is harming small animals. I'm more concerned about the cops behavior if he peppers sprays baby squirrels next hell be pepper spraying babies. :lamo:
from the OP link...

The squirrel was not permanently harmed. It was definitely in great pain after being sprayed. I suspect if you were pepper-sprayed in the eyes and spent several long minutes thrashing around, screaming, you'd not be mollified later when someone shrugged off your ordeal by saying you weren't harmed.
If I was in a position where a cop was going to either shoot me, taze me, or spray me... I'll take the spray.
So, the cop asked the squirrel whether it would prefer to be shot, tazed or sprayed? The moron wasn't bright enough to, oh I don't know, perhaps call animal control in the first place? It was an innocent little animal looking for a hand out... and a baby animal that had not yet learned to fear humans. I'd say the latter mistake has been rectified by said little squirrel, since it will now be terrified of humans. The act was animal abuse, pure and simple, and if the cop had followed procedure by calling animal control in the first place, it didn't have to happen.
You keep on cheering for the 250 lb cop, who was terrified enough of a baby rodent to torture the damned thing instead of calling in the experts. Me, I'm rooting for the next squirrel he comes across to scamper up his fat belly and chew his damned nose off. The cowardly idiot.
That makes sense. From now on, I am going to carry pepper spray, and use it on all my neighbors. After all, I can't tell which ones might have AIDS.
Why isn't the cop up on charges then?
And your expertise in police procedure comes from... where? Exactly?

For crying out loud. There wasn't an adult there that couldn't have scooped up that baby squirrel in a box?
We have become ******s. Plain and simple. These are the same morons who want to kill all animals that could potentially harm a human. Must be a nightmare for them to walk through the forest.
Only if they are tasty.
