It seems that Navy Pride has no clue that there are people that agree with Cindy Sheehan, John Daly, Michael Moore, and Ward Daley.
War is terror.

For one, none of those people are my heroes, they actually tend to get on my nerves. They are just people that the right likes to say are the leaders of the left wing, for no reason other than that they sound stupid, and they are easy to use as an example. By the way, do you have any reliable sources for any those quotes?

As a matter of a fact, you said, that they were my heros. Not by a long shot. Please stop trying to read my mind, for it is not working. So, no sources? I didn't think you would put any.

I watch the news plenty, thanks for your concern!

LOL you were the one who said we are not occupying Iraq.
Yes, I did. What about it?

If we are no longer at war with Iraq, upon what basis can we hold prisoners of war. Who are we at war with?
Well, aside from the fact that not being at war with Iraq does not preclude us from being at war IN Iraq...

The 'enemy combatants" we've captured are largely terrorists - and the war on terror is not over. Also, were captured in places other than Iraq.

So... whats your point?

AND... when are you going to lay out the argument that 'assault weapons' are not "arms"?

The reason that I want sources is not that I doubt it, but that I would like to hear it from someone else.

I don't go to moveon.org, or listen to Air America, I have no radio. I have updated news sources, too.

I never defended any of these "left wing nut jobs" you are blatently lying.

Then why have hundreds been freed? The Govt has been freeing terrorists? Or the Govt has been locking away innocent people?

So... whats your point?

The point is, a war on "terror" as opposed to a nation is a war on a concept. There have always been terrorists, and always will be. This war will never end. Therefore, saying you are holding POWs without giving them due process is an excuse to lock people away in the dungeons forever. Just like a two bit dictatorship does. That may be fine for some. To me, that is not what America, that shining beacon on the hill, stands for.

The same priniciple applies to the "war on drugs." Is that war over? using the same logice, drug dealers are "enemy combatants" and could be locked away forever without a charges or a trial.

AND... when are you going to lay out the argument that 'assault weapons' are not "arms"?

No, I am making a (fairly lame) point that if using labels like "enemy cobatant" as a means to avoid constitutional rules can be applied in different ways.

As necessary, investigations as to the particulars of their capture showed they were (probably) not terrorists and so they were released.

Why should a terrorist -ever- be released?

Streeeeeeeeeeeetch a little more, will ya?

You missed your point here by a wide margin.

A terrorist should not. How do we determine someone is a terrorist? Because the Govt says so? Is the mere accusation by the Govt sufficient to your to lock people away forever? No charges, no trial, no innocent until proven guilty?

If you catch a guy shooting at Americans or planting bombs they are terrorists...plain and simple...........

Moving thread to war on terror from Polls forum as there's no poll on this thread.

When caught on the battlefield... there is nothing to charge them with. No charges, no trial. Period.

You asked a person wether they were one of those people simply because that person striked you as the type that is like them, that agrees with them. I was correcting you. You really have no idea what I am talking about, much less what you are talking about, do you?
I wanted a source that you have so far been unable to provide, for I would like to hear it from a mouth other than your own.
