Conservatives Beginning (Finally) to Admit They Hate Democracy

Trump voter here. American democracy has failed because it gives everyone equal voting rights even though we're not all equal. Secondly, it's clear that the majority of Americans under 30 don't love this nation and have been indoctrinated the past 25 years go hate it, it's laws, and it's history. This means one thing is clear; there is no need to compromise or negotiate with the progressive left. People who hate the idea of representative democracy and the electoral college aren't American by any definition. Direct democracy is basically mob mentality in voter form - a very dangerous and stupid thing.

The fight today is between globalists and American Nationalism. There is nothing in between.
Way to prove the OP's point.

The idea of the modern left is antithetical to anything found in the Constitution.
The brainwashed right-wing cult's deluded idea of the modern left. It's as if the Democrats were convinced that the issue most important to Republicans was burning every building in America, and talked about them accordingly. They'd have some valid points, if their deluded view was correct, but it wouldn't be and they wouldn't. Like the right.

I’m openly an opponent of capitalism. I’m not the one who complains about”commies” every day while also hating capitalism.
Capitalism needs to be regulated in some ways for the benefit of the people. Communism is a fail from the start.

But any regulations are themselves communism. Your ilk make it pretty clear that anyone suggesting regulations is a commie.

Did you notice how he parrots imbecilic right-wing propaganda with such conviction? That's what's sad about these right-wing gullible people who get brainwashed, they're like Patrick Henry passionately fighting for a political belief, but based on delusion and a corrupt agenda, as if Patrick Henry had fought for the rights of English nobles against colonial Satanists.

Nope you are just wrong. Conservatives don't hate democracy, they hate crazy progressives who support marxist/socialist/communist policies. The don't like people who tell children that they can switch sexes on a whim and then if it doesn't work out they can switch back. They don't like progressives who think we should open our arms to illegal immigration with no restrictions or regulation and the result is a rise in criminal entry, drug trafficking and child and sex trafficking. We don't like people who think they can do nothing and are owned something by others who work their ass off to obtain a degree of security . We don't like people who denigrate, religion, America, the founding fathers, or true democracy.
You’re a minority of the population, thank Buddha.

Well, since you leftists claim MAGA is only for Whites, I wouldn't be able to join .....
The left doesn't say that. They do observe that very, very few black people are foolish enough to want to. How the handful of black people at trump rallies tend to have the same 'blacks for trump' t-shirts on. Hm.

No, it’s for stupid, easily led people.

And you get to sit behind trump at rallies so the cameras can catch some minorities!

You know you love that!

Crisis actors.

This seems to be all over the place, Channe79. You are against equal voting rights because we are not all equal. Okay. Judging by your statements further in the thread, should someone who makes and produces more than you have greater voting rights than you? Presuming you are working class or middle class, should a multi-millionaire who employs hundreds or thousands of workers have a hundred or perhaps a thousand times your voting power? Perhaps a nationalist billionaire like Trump should have a million votes?

Steve Bannon allegedly referred to himself as a Leninist.

And Richard Spencer supports universal healthcare and socialism in general. Mussolini was a life-long socialist. FFS, Hitler was a communist in 1919.

I'm a believer in the political horseshoe theory in that the same people attracted to fascism are the same type of people who would be attracted to Stalinism or Maoism if they were born elsewhere.

Horseshoe theory is bullshit. It's just a way for the left to rationalize away the fact that nazism and fascism are actually left wing.

So what? Those are the population centers!
But I don't want the population centers deciding who the president should be.
And neither did Hamilton and James Madison when they crafted the Constitution.
And they were a lot smarter than you or I. Let people from all of the states decide.
It has served us well for over 230 years.

@Renae

Do you think being on the same side as people who think being transgender is something people do “on a whim”?

Hamilton and Madison didn’t want anyone but white male landowners deciding who the president should be. Were they correct?

Years ago a friend of mine got involved with the John Birch Society and explained views such as the above. The fear was of a "mobocracy," where less "qualified" voters had the same power as the most intelligent and informed. The notion was that property owners, given their greater stake in good govenment, would be more wise in casting their votes. This has been an underlying theme throughout US history, a fear that the great unwashed might have the same voting power as a wealthy, educated, propertied person. Trump, wealthy, educated and propertied, may have put that naive notion a bit to rest, given his abysmal knowledge of history and civics. But we have decided that a rich, educated man who might say "all I care about is paying less in taxes" is just as qualified as my uneducated mom, who said, "I vote for democrats because they're for the working people," despite my mom's simple analysis being more perceptive.

In general, conservatives have been fairly open about not liking it when too many people vote. Trump said so recently, GOP strategist Paul Weyrich some years ago. There is a reason, openly stated by them here and there, why it has been the GOP and not democrats who have pushed scores of voter-limiting bills the past few years: the GOP doesn't do well when there is large turnout. There is a reason why all the states covered by the 1965 Voting Rights Act instituted voting restrictions once the Supremes decided the Act was no longer necessary, thus sort of proving the Court wrong fairly quickly.

So we have the contradictions in the message I am responding to: "people who hate the idea of representative democracy and the electoral college (first contradiction, as the EC is not representative) aren't American," vs "democracy has failed because it gives everyone equal voting rights (huh? second contradiction) even though we are not all equal." Not all equal in what? Who decides?

That, and he has rational policies.
Spoken like a true Conservative.
The blue states will no doubt fear him as more and more Conservatives in those states resonate with his policies.

Don't go revisionist history on me. Male voting and slave owning were part of the culture back then.
We don't have time machines to go back and change what we don't like now.
But to your argument, very few people could vote back in 1790.
Today, even dead Democrats can vote.

They're going to hate people who love democracy even more.

You forgot "pizza munching pedo groomer" colonial Satanists.

Who said anything about “slave owning”?

Madison and Hamilton didn’t want anyone save white male landowners from deciding who should be President. Were they correct? Yes or no?

Let's not pretend Republicans don't have those among their ranks who love them some voter fraud.

Good response, so I'll respond. Representative Democracy is not the same as the Populous Direct Democracy. The former doesn't value every individual's vote, the former does. It is wrong to allow all citizens the right to vote when all citizens don't have the same amount of skin in the game. If you needed a crack team of people to fix a car, you wouldn't allow anyone on the team. You'd only allow those who've got enough experience and opinions to fix it.

Similarly, America as a country cannot flourish if we let every citizen vote because a lot of citizens are too young, inexperienced, uneducated, and some are on welfare meaning they are living off of other citizens' tax money.

They're going to hate people who love democracy even more.
If you mean "they" to be Conservatives who are hating those who love democracy, I take it you don't agree with the Supreme Court decided that each state should democratically decide whether abortions can be performed in a given state. Is that called hating people who love democracy be giving states the right to decide on major issues?
