It does not surprise me either. Companies don't do things because they have a social conscious. They do things to increase their profits. If going woke wasn't profitable we would see less of it.

Of course, go woke go broke is just a bullshit buzzterm that means nothing.

These companies are raking in the cash, and most of them still pretend they can't pay their workers a living wage.
 
Ultimately, this is just a thin veneer of marketing, these companies are still something to be wary of.
 
These are establsihed brands, and something like that rises and falls wit the rconomy as well as international sales
Am I going to boycott my fav diet cokes? no.. the question is why they go woke, because DEI is shoved into HR detps
and if you want to work there you just shut up and attend their dumb ass seminars on white oppessors and such crap
It's now the corporate way in the USA

It's why the right truly hates cancel culture. Because they want to do it but don't have the actual numbers to pull it off. They were the OG cancel culture back in they day organized through their churches, but those numbers have dwindled and they can't cancel shit. And that pisses them off so bad.

The only time they are successful at cancelling anything is from the position of authority. It doesn't come from grass roots. Not enough grass blades.

Inclusion has always been an enemy of the right. They would rather segregate and shame people in the LGBTQ communities. There are no more big-tent Republicans. It is either you kiss Trump's ass or you are considered a RINO.

Now if in a random conversation you were to say "Did you see what Tracy Marrow said/did?" The first response you are likely to get is "Who the **** is Tracy Marrow?!"

Disney, the NBA and Nike re: China proves that.
 
1. They rarely go full "woke." Generally it's some token commercial or tweets or something that makes the rounds amongst conservative outrage commentators for a week and then it's over.
2. The product is rarely affected. Bud Light is the same today as it was a month ago.
3. Most people don't even follow this kind of news so don't know about it.

The times when get woke go broke actually apply are when it affects the product, for example, making a movie or TV franchise completely different.
