Comey testimony (Live)

It's just like I said it would be... a nothing burger with just enough special sauce to keep the vultures circling.

Now we wait for the Mueller investigation to unfold...

I'm interested to see what will come out of that investigation as well.

And if the "crook" hadn't been elected, which crook would have been president?

We would be far better off with a President who is not beholding to our enemy. Didn't you hear Comey stating that this about Russia influencing our govt. at the highest levels. It is not a partisan issue.

Where was that press the past eight years.

Running interference as instructed by the administration.

Our media is our greatest enemy.

Spoken exactly as Putin commands you to. Good going comrade.

I would say a dishonest and biased media is pretty high up there.

We critically need a professional journalistic corps to keep our politicians honest.

This latest crop of lying self interested emotional elitists is literally harming the country by feeding the animals at the zoo. Thats not advised for a host of reasons.

Thats you acostas, blitzer, trapper, shep smith, stephanopolis and the rest of the political operatives turned "reporter".

I include shep in there because he has turned away from news lately and has become prone to "injecting" his feelings into the news as the priority.

I dont care if people want to give their opinions. Just dont give it behind the mask of "news". Your opinion isnt news and never has been.

Yeah. I see no problem calling out Trump (nor any other politician) for making falsehoods. They need to be held accountable.

Hillary?
Lois Lerner?
Obama?
Holder?

For starters?

LOL! I love that you have to pretend I've 'made up' some narrative. The facts speak for themselves, as much as that might frighten you.

Comey: I was fired in order to influence probe into Russian election meddling

Did you catch the part where he said that story about Trump's people in constant contact with Russia was absolutely false?

No obstruction...

Hillary doesn't ask, she simply gets the emails of her "workers, helpers, aides", and then interrogates them like a good Stasi or KGB thug.

Are you expecting Hillary to take Trumps place? That is not going to happen so relax. This is about getting a Russian stooge out not putting Hillary in.

Did you not hear Comey say this is about the Russians interfering with our election? It is not about politics. I never thought the day would come where politics would trump our own security as a nation.

then you should be condemning all of the classified leaks coming out of Washington by people trying to do just that.
they are playing politics vs national security.

however as stated trump did not obstruct justice unless you want to confirm that comey is now committing perjury.

Did you catch the part where he said that story about Trump's people in constant contact with Russia was absolutely false?

you have to understand they only hear what they want to hear and read what they want to read.
then again it goes to show how much of a political hack comey actually was.

sorry, wrong person. Was meant for Mr. Iguanaman

I also caught this bit:

COTON: Do you have -- at the time the story was published, any indication of any contact between Trump people and Russians, intelligence officers, other government officials or close associates of the Russian government?

COMEY: That's one I can't answer sitting here.

It's just like I said it would be... a nothing burger with just enough special sauce to keep the vultures circling.

Mueller's big source is Comey, and well... he just revealed there is no there there concerning Trump.

The Left's attempt at decapitation died today.

They've tried, tried, tried... and are sitting around with their genitals in their hands.

Yeah, I caught parts here and there where I got the over-all feeling that Comey was:

1] Alarmed by the Russian interference.

2] Alarmed by the Presidential interference into the Flynn investigation.

3] Steadfastly dedicate to the independence of the Bureau, seeing it in Constitutional terms.

All positions that are very much in in concert with my current world-view.

I also very much like that he's an Independent. The more I think of it, the more I'm willing to entertain the idea of a Comey run.

I didn't get to watch much of it but have since found Marco's and others questioning Comey and I have a different take.

Rubio really did a great job. He asked Comey why did n't he report the inappropriate things Trump was asking to the WH council or why didn't he inform Trump his questions were inappropriate. Comey did not have a good answer.

And another time is when he admitted he leaked his memos through a friend in hopes to bring about a Special Council. Now that is dang troubling. His memos that were written while he was director are government documents. Jonathan Turley is suggesting that Comey has violated the law. 18 U.S. Code § 641. Assuming that the memos were not classified (though it seems odd that it would not be classified even on the confidential level), there is 18 U.S.C. § 641 which makes it a crime to steal, sell, or convey “any record, voucher, money, or thing of value of the United States or of any department or agency thereof.”

Translation: the answer contains classified information and requires a closed session in order to answer

Dershowitz pointed out last night.. it isn’t obstruction for a president to tell the FBI to start or stop an investigation. He could have called Comey in and said “I have pardoned Flynn, and your investigation is closed”. Perfectly legal. Trump HEADS the FBI.

LOL I almost wish he had done that, Trumps goose would be cooked already. Presidents may not interfere with criminal investigations and are not above the law.

Its true, you wont see it being reported at CNN and MSNBC, they only care about fake news

I was joking. The post I responded to will actually be the script for Hannity and Carlson tonight, and probably for the rest of the week.

Comey took his conversation with Trump about Flynn as disturbing, but not an effort to obstruct justice.

Comey says Trump did not ask him to stop the Russia investigation

Do you think Comey's a fool? When Trump told everyone else to leave the room before he asked Comey to lay off Flynn that was a pretty good clue that Trump knew what he was asking was inappropriate. Why should he tell him what he already knew?

said he believed he was fired for the investigation if i heard him right

Did I hear Comey say he leaked documents?

Wasn't he ordered by the President to get ahead of leaks?

Is that a nothing happened or wtf?
