College Football 2018-2019 Season

The buzz behind the national championship is dead. Ratings will be down. They can't really even give away tickets.

An 8-team playoff is much needed. There is absolutely 0 diversity

Would have much rather seen:

Alabama
vs
Georgia

Clemson
vs
Michigan

Oklahoma
vs
UCF

Ohio State
vs
Notre Dame

Not a fair statement. The ticket sales are down on the championship game primarily due to where the game is going to be played. Both teams in the championship game are located in the deep south. The vast majority of the fan base of both teams is not willing to travel what amounts to just under a 2300 mile trip for Alabama fans abd nearly a 2700 mile trip for Clemson fans. If the same two teams end up in the final match again next season, the ticket sales will look more like last year as the game will be played in New Orleans.

I'm not planning to watch. I suspect I am not the only one.

Probably not. However as an Alabama fan, I absolutely will be watching, from the comfort of my living room 2300 miles from where it's being played.

Yeah, that location is an odd choice.

FYI, nothing will change in the next 3-5 years.

Tua has a brother, Taulia Tagovailoa that has already committed to Alabama. Alabama will be in playoffs again and again and the competition is getting weaker.

Bucky, oh how it hurts that you have forgotten FSU will be back in a year (or two, or three). Plus, Alabama will have to get past Florida in the next couple of years. That isn't going to be easy. They have a coach and are a recruiting Mecca....and I'm not sure Clemson won't play them close enough to win in the final seconds.
Regardless of the things could be better crowd, this is going to be a good game!

CP

Florida State? They didn't even finish with a winning record.

As long as Alabama has Coach Nick Saban, they will always be in the playoff hunt. And Saban's present contract does not expire until 2025.

I will say that I think he the best QB OSU could've possibly snagged. I'm very upset at losing him and wished they would've benched Fromm in the bowl game and put him in. But since he felt the need to leave... I'm glad he went to Ohio State.

Boom... Clemson pick 6.

A U-2 flyover? That’s something you don’t see often.......

If this keeps going at this pace it's going to be quite a high score.

28-16. Clemson.

I certainly did not expect to see that score when I clicked on the website.

my 31-27 Clemson prediction was a bit off it appears.....But my wager on the game looks pretty good going into half time.

Yeah so did my UGA prediction when they were way ahead of Bama last year.
