Clinton email leaker arrested

There's a lot of people missing from this thread. Where are they?

Hiding.

It's in the Republican Party Handbook. When adversity strikes, hide.

When challenged on facts, invent new ones.

When called a liar, invent a bigger lie and then attack the race of his wife.

Someone who released anti-Clinton stuff in 2016 is a Russian oligarch's toady?

This is my shocked face.
Chicom already had Hillary in their pocket. Where else was a stand-up federal public servant to go?

They won't be showing up here. Some of them were STUUUPID enough to think that there was some Putinesk take that was worth posting regarding the arrest of the FBI agent. WRONG.

Durham has turned out to be a disaster for the credibility of the Putinistas and their take on the arrest of Charles McGonigal also lacks credibility and has the added feature of being oblivious. Threads and posts in that vein did not age well in just a week.

While fully supporting law enforcement, isn't it becoming clearer that we systemically need for agencies to have strong internal affairs units that monitor and investigate for officer misbehavior and corruption? If it's all clean, great, but that we need better than for wrongful acts to 'get caught' somehow and brought to them before they take a look?

If officers feel they are unlikely to get caught, it's that much more temptation for some. They know the rules very well, when to have body cams turned off (should be monitored and not allowed), what qualified immunity covers, and so on.

This person shares responsibility for getting tRump into office.

And guess who he's connected to.

Still fighting the results of the 2016 election? You must be an election denier.

Well this is an issue for Counter-Intelligence. What we do not know and won't likely find out is how long they knew Charles McGonigal was a problem. SOP is for counter-intelligence to allow the target to continue to operate, feeding him false information along the way so they could track it when it comes out the other side while building a stronger case against him. In other words, they might have been onto him longer than we will ever know. We will likely never find out how much of the information and material that was fed through McConigal was fed to him with purpose.

Reviewing the histiory of the US that will merely grow government more.

Your leaders are corrupt. Why would the machine they run be any different. You won't eliminate corruption with exposure alone, you need teeth, and that's the last thing American politicians want.

Both sides are corrupt, you know that right?

So how are they going to come up with an effective control?

It’s almost as if Russia interfered with the 2016 election…
Imagine if republicans went crazy for Osama bin Laden instead of trump. Instead of denying the truth about Russians and the election, they'd be screaming all day about how Al Queda wasn't behind 9/11, FAKE NEWS, probably an inside job by the Clinton deep state, the 9/11 commission was a sham and should be prosecuted, etc.

Really, it already WAS a bit like that. Except it was Bush they were protecting.

Bill Clinton had an organization set up dedicated to Al Queda. He elevated Richard Clark to cabinet-level as head of anti-terrorism, and had daily briefings on Al Queda. When Bush stole the election, in the transition Clinton told him the #1 security threat to the country was Al Queda, to keep up efforts on that.

So what did Bush do? Behaved like a spiteful child, tried to reverse basically anything Clinton, down to the petty; he disbanded the Al Queda unit, demoted Richard Clark, ended regular briefings on Al Queda, on a list of about 15 top security concerns, Al Queda wasn't on the list.

Well, whaddya know 7 months into his presidency. And then the Republicans couldn't defend Bush enough - wasn't HIS fault at all, to question him was unpatriotic. There was basically no accountability. But they had the real thing people should be concerned about - Iraq as a menace and how they were probably involved in 9/11 and were a threat... This crap didn't start with traitor trump.

What an odd rant.

1. Pick someone you don't like.
2. Call them a Chinese communist.
3. Sit back and wait...

As much as you think this makes you look smart, it doesn't. The election was won by Donald Trump, but it is funny seeing all these Russian connections to things helping his campaign. No collusion? I think not.

We blame Comey for the terrible decision to talk about the Hillary investigation right before the election, but this guy leaking crap to Rudy was the reason he did it.
