'Climate change crisis' narrative is taking a beating

I am aware of the subsidizing aspect of tax benefits. You seem unable to comprehend that there are more types of subsidies than tax policy.
It should never be used to subsidize negligence especially when that negligence causes human suffering.

I am not sure what your point is, hydrocarbons can result from both an organic or inorganic path.
A non living path is possible.
On Earth, there is a thin layer of decomposed once living matter spread in the crust, that when the geology is right,
collects in harvestable quantities. That said, inorganic path are not excluded.
What I'm getting here is that on earth you consider virtually all hydrocarbons to be the result of life, but in other locations of the solar system with many times the amount of hydrocarbons, you're say what, the origin is probably not life?

That isn't the point. If WalMart needs the work done why don't they pay a living wage for it?

Another sock.

Why do you keep coming back here? You know you'll just get banned again, so stop wasting everybody's time.

That's under ideal conditions.

What about practical?
The used real world data collected from 100's of Tesla owners worldwide. EV batteries are more that adequate to qualify as practical and last 200,000 miles or more. Can you say that about the average I/C dinosaur?

We don't "consider". On Earth all hydrocarbons come from life. We know that without a doubt.

I have a truck that's 14 years old that is more advanced than the state of the art electric car today.

If real cars are dinosaurs toy electric cars are trilobites.

Only 14 years old? :)

I'm still driving my 35-year old Nisan 4x4 pick-up. It has just over 350,000 miles on its second engine, and it barely gets 10 miles per gallon on a good day. It's biggest advantage, however, is that it contains no computers. It is a vehicle I can maintain because I do not require any of the diagnostic equipment that vehicles require these days. Granted, it has been designated my "trash" truck, but that is only because I use it regularly to haul my household trash to the landfill (I don't get trash services). It has also gotten me out of deep snow on occasion when my sedan was unable.

Well I've got to give it time.
I've been eyeballing a lot of '70s model pickup trucks and just cuz that's such a happy medium prior to them fuel crisis.

That luxury of absolute certainty has always been something that I've never been able to afford. Maybe someone else can weigh in on this, as to why is it that we say all hydro carbons on Earth come from life, but at the same time we also say that many more hydrocarbons on Titan and Io are simply formed by other means over time.

The main question being why should there be a difference?

Well, we can take this opportunity or we won't. Oil will only last so long, then what? Drilling here is a bit like lipstick on a pig, doesn't change the fact that eventually we will need a new energy source.

This is a good time.
And when exactly will oil end?

You all scared the entire world just 40 years ago when the so-called expert scientists told the world that oil would definitely run out by the year 2000. It scared Washington - they lowered the speed limit on all highways from unlimited (Montana) to 55 mph to conserve fuel, which was a gigantic cluster****. Most states had a max limit of ~80-85 mph. Driving 55 mph was absolute agony and sheer stupidity.

One Fortune 50 corporation took the "no oil by 2000" to heart, went out and bought an oil company for $8 Billion to ensure an uninterrupted oil supply past 2000. They divested the oil company after bringing in well after well that broke records in locations where geologists said they doubted oil was present.

It all of course turned out to be a farce, as many new "record-breaking gushers" have come in since and continue to this day by all major oil companies.

Now the children of those scientists say oil is bad and its use must end. OK... yeah... we'll get right on that.

Oh... well scientists have said it is so, so it must be true (just like in 1980, right?). They all should go to hell and leave us the hell alone for at least 100 years.

But the democrats need a socialist bone to chew on, so for now it is "oil is bad" and "the Earth will end by 2030 if we don't act now" or the back-up "global warming". Nothing but BS.

There is only about a 10 year Lag between emissions and maximum warming.
Also the idea of a warming tipping point is dismissed by the ice core records,
past inter glacial periods were several degrees warmer, and no tipping point happened!
Maximum warming occurs about one decade after a carbon dioxide emission

Requiring people to accept regulations that affect their lives, without scientific evidence that the computed simulations are accurate,
is equal to a Human rights abuse, it is exactly what happened with Eugenics.
Then banning abortion is a human rights abuse. It’s a human rights abuse to stop me from punching Elon musk in the face because my religion says the only way humanity can be saved his by punching Elon musk in the face once every decade. No science can disprove this.

Marijuana illegal? Eugenics
I drive better when I am drunk. arresting me is eugenics
Teaching theories in school in any subject matter is eugenics. Evolution eugenics creationism eugenics gravity eugenics relativity eugenics the universal theory of everything eugenics any Einstein related topic eugenics philosophy eugenics history eugenics.

So you find yourself unable to field an actual argument?

The main question being why should there be a difference?
The hydrocarbons on Titan are mostly liquid methane because it is very cold there. Too cold for life as we know it which requires liquid water. Some scientists do think there maybe organisms that live off the methane but that is just theory. We have a much better understanding of where the hydrocarbons on earth came from.

So you find yourself unable to field an actual argument?

You argued that anything which was a restriction and lacked definitive scientific proof was akin to eugenics. I fielded that argument. I caught it and then i threw it back at you in the form of "I drive better drunk, if you arrest me, it's a human rights violation because there is no scientific proof I drive any worse when drunk." ME. I drive better drunk. Other people? I won't judge. Don't tell me how I drive, I'll be the first to point out it's a clear violation of my human rights. See how I fielded that? Cleanly.

Only repugnant losers think the growing social programs can be sustained without destroying this nation.
A global climate change denier that believes poor people shouldn't have children and that social programs are the root of America's problems. What a waste. Adios.

Economics is a global science. A subsidy here means the same thing as a subsidy in India.
Whatever. So the oil companies don’t receive any money from the US taxpayers. That was my point

How do you come up with arrest from me saying it should be illegal?

If you get a ticket for jay-walking, were you arrested?

Making it illegal can simply make it such that punitive measures are taken to curtail such future actions.

We have a breeder problem. We have too many people having children that cannot support them, and forces the tax payers to do so.

This has been destroying our nation slowly! It needs to be reversed.

Maybe if a person had a child while not having the financial means to take care of the child, should be requred to have their tubes tied in order to receive governmet aide. This way, they aren't a repeat offender. The so-called safety net was designed for changes in financial situations, and as a temporary measure. Not as a lifestyle.
Good idea. We could start with poor Jews, then move on to Gypsies and others.

Just keep saying it, still doesn't make it true.

"The United States provides a number of tax subsidies to the fossil fuel industry as a means of encouraging domestic energy production. These include both direct subsidies to corporations, as well as other tax benefits to the fossil fuel industry. Conservative estimates put U.S. direct subsidies to the fossil fuel industry at roughly $20 billion per year; with 20 percent currently allocated to coal and 80 percent to natural gas and crude oil. European Union subsidies are estimated to total 55 billion euros annually."

We spend more on social services than anything else. I pay over $20k annual in taxes and am pretty damn tired of it.

Wait a minute tax subsidy what's that? A text break isn't the subsidy that's just not stealing.

If someone holding me up in the street for my cash and says never mind I don't want your cash they're not subsidizing me but just not stealing what's already mine.

Taxation is stuck that is the government stealing wealth from people who make it because the government can't make wealth of its own.

I don't know why people buy into this communist concept that all money belongs to the government and they just let you have some of it.

Subsidies as I understand it is where the government pays you for something like subsidizing corn Farmers grow corn and a lot of it just gets thrown away but they get paid for it anyway because the government pays them for it.

But not letting them keep the money they earn from selling it they're handing the money that they wouldn't have otherwise that's what a subsidy is a tax break is just not stealing.

That's right. Deny reality and go off the deep end. A person cannot have a decent debate with people who poison the debate like you.

Well, break it down for us. I think you will see of you actually read it, that the truth is different than you believe.
