You need to lighten up.Read the OP.
Mind you.........it might just well all by me - unless someone wants to pitch in - no problemo.
I had no problem with ANSWERS TO ATHEIST NONSENSE, have I?
That's similar concept with this.
If I find an issue somewhere, it can get expanded on this thread.
So, tell me, OIA...what is your go to Bible? You know, the one where you determined for yourself that the trinity doctrine is false? Is a "reputable Christian Bible" one where you agree with it's doctrinal presentation?
I'm a KJV fan. In studying I use other versions to compare it to. I like the fact that it uses italics to highlight that words were not part of the texts from which it was translated. I recognize that even the KJV is influenced by religious men who have an agenda to make the texts agree with their theology .So, tell me, OIA...what is your go to Bible? Yep, that's why it pays to compare translations, not to rely solely on one and no other....I'm a KJV fan. In studying I use other versions to compare it to. Ultimately, no translation carries the authority of being declared The Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16 inspiration of/from God) due to attempts by translators to insert their theology into the mix. A simple comma can make all the difference between truth and false doctrine.Yep, that's why it pays to compare translations, not to rely solely on one and no other....
I have found that the biggest reason the NWT is hated so is because it does not support the trinity doctrine nor the hellfire doctrine...the NWT refers to Jesus a god/lower case g and it uses the original Hebrew and Greek words Sheol/Hades/Gehenna/Tartarus, where the KJV replaces those 4 words with hell...that's it, otherwise it is simply a modern English translation that easier to understand than the KJV...oh, and the NWT uses God's name, Jehovah, instead of God or LORD.... where the tetragrammaton/יהוה is removed from other translations...Ultimately, no translation carries the authority of being declared The Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16 inspiration of/from God) due to attempts by translators to insert their theology into the mix. Btw, I discovered from the KJV that the Trinity was a lie.
I’m of the opinion that whatever version builds a relationship with God is the one you should go with. We aren’t supposed to worship the Bible; we are to worship God.I have found that the biggest reason the NWT is hated so is because it does not support the trinity doctrine nor the hellfire doctrine...the NWT refers to Jesus a god/lower case g and it uses the original Hebrew and Greek words Sheol/Hades/Gehenna/Tartarus, where the KJV replaces those 4 words with hell...that's it, otherwise it is simply a modern English translation that easier to understand than the KJV...oh, and the NWT uses God's name, Jehovah, instead of God or LORD.... where the tetragrammaton/יהוה is removed from other translations...
Absolutely...it leads us to God and God's Word is truth...I’m of the opinion that whatever version builds a relationship with God is the one you should go with. We aren’t supposed to worship the Bible; we are to worship God.
Indeed! However some truths, gleaned from the Bible, don’t need much explanation from a theologian (which the OP must think she is) to lead one to God. Some truths are so easy to follow. John 3:16 being one simple example.Absolutely...it leads us to God and God's Word is truth...
The basics most people get but for the more complex...Indeed! However some truths, gleaned from the Bible, don’t need much explanation from a theologian (which the OP must think she is) to lead one to God. Some truths are so easy to follow. John 3:16 being one simple example.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“
Who would need a theologian to explain this verse? Who would be confused with it?
Absolutely! God has opened my eyes to certain scriptures over the years. Usually when I’m faced with a difficult verse I’ll put it on the back burner and wait patiently for God to show its meaning to me. I’m not sure why many christians dont believe that God can speak directly to them, but rather only through the voices of theologians/instructors. Sometimes I find what I’m looking for in an entirely different verse found elsewhere. The basics most people get but for the more complex...
You may wanna research your trinity doctrine a little bit better then...it's not in the Bible...
You need to lighten up.

The Bible is part of God’s creation in the physical world. Given that versions differ with each other they aren’t perfect. God is perfect. Bibles are not. Thus if you elevate any one of them over another you are worshipping the creation, not the Creator.AT LAST! Another issue!
That's your opinion.
That sounds like, "there are many paths to God."
Although in your case, you're saying............................................. "there are many different bibles to God."
In a nutshell, it's another version of........................."Whatever works for you, baby."
My answer to that:
Jesus won't agree with you.
This is how He answered the devil in the wilderness.
Matthew 4:4
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
How do you define worship of the Bible?
Would religiously reading the Bible every day, a form of worshipping the Book given to us by God?
Whenever we insist to uphold the WORD OF GOD (as we are supposed to do), would that be worship?
Or.........................................is that just another confusing thought............................... that tries to justify in not taking the WORDS OF GOD to heart?
Just a few verse about the importance of the Bible.
2 Tim 3:16-17
All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Romans 10:17
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.
I'm confused.
What are you saying here?
We shouldn't take the Bible in utmost seriousness?
Is that what you meant by............................"lighten up?"
Take it lightly?

Sure, we are to live by every word from God, but none of the various versions can be declared “the Word of God”. That declaration is only true of the words that were originally given to “men of God”. We have only portions of “the Words of God”. Thus, if a particular version builds a relationship between God and a person, how can you judge that relationship null and void based upon the use of a version you decide isn’t good enough?
Do you believe all bibles are the same in declaring them “the words of God”? A simple yes or no answer will suffice.Hahahahaha right.
That's why you say it's okay to go by any other kinds of bibles !
Matthew 4:4
But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
You're now correcting JESUS!
You're saying............Jesus got that wrong!
You started with making it like taking the Bible seriously, is "Bible-worship."
See where Christians can easily be misled down the slippery slopes?
Do you believe all bibles are the same in declaring them “the words of God”? A simple yes or no answer will suffice.
It’s a simple question. Your refusal to answer it amounts to a “no” answer. The follow up question, therefore, is:Never mind trying to switch the tables around.
You're the one who declared that!
It’s a simple question. Your refusal to answer it amounts to a “no” answer. The follow up question, therefore, is:
What version(s) are not the true word of God; and why aren’t they?
Name one version that doesn’t do that.A version that has removed and/or added to the Scriptures!
Name one version that doesn’t do that.
Was the NASB handed down by God and completely free from the influence of man's theology? If so, I shouldn't find any errors, right?NASB.
When we say "remove or add"...............................it means removing something or adding something that changes the message being given in the Bible.
GOD doesn't want His message to be changed.
The JW's New World Translation comes to mind. Their motive was clearly to not give any hint of The TRINITY.
They've changed the term God's spirit into God's active force (which changed the dynamics of the message of God because it doesn't fit in other verses throughout the Bible).
They've also changed John 1:1............and made The Word into "a god," instead of GOD.
