I must pause here to remark that this should be your next thread, fill in the blank there and folks can go wild. My answer would be that if the evidence supports it, and intent ( or lack of it) is clear, then I'm all for it. Meaning I love Joe Biden, but not enough to lie for him. I think he's an old granpa president much like Reagan. I remember me and my college buds used to say the same exact things you guys say about Biden. (You are aware I'm sure, that Reagan took a nap every single day of his second term, and often in the first, ) and as president I think Biedn's great but I won't forgive him for purposeful crimes. Bookmark me on that.

Again I must pause because if we are talking about legal matters, courtrooms are the real world. Did you follow the story of trump's lawyers in the Florida fling a few months ago? Trump was on stage and on TSocial claiming fraud and all sorts of things. His lawyers didn't dare even whisper any of it in front of a judge because of the legal jeopardy now suffered by two previous lying attorneys Rudy & the Krack. In that case the courts were the reality and the trump rallies were the illusion. Otherwise the trump lawyers would have repeated to the judge what trump was saying at the rallies.

That's a common leap to conclusions about the nature of the docs, the time they were created, whether or not the docs found were declassified by a previous administration, or even if the documents were from this century. How do I know if there were General Electric atomic secrets from the 1950's that had been declassified in the '90's ? do any of us know that sort of detail yet? There may have been reasons to reference old documents, who the hell knows at this point. I want to emphasize what I said on #1. If the conditions were the same, I think both should face the same fate.
Which to your point, how do we know that he did or didnt have the authority if we don't even know which docs they are?????

I'm just as concerned with trump's arrogance that led him to believe he is above the law. I believe his defiance to the rules and laws is reprehensible.

If Top Secret documents really were unaccounted for after the Obama Administration, how come they weren't tracked down during the Trump Administration?

I'm not mad. What you call your own independent point of view is based on nothing but blind faith and is coincidentally what progressives want all of us to believe. If anything I'm confused because despite our differences politically I think of you as both smart and principled.

I can only draw 1 of two conclusions about your declaration. You are either blindly devout and believe that which I categorize as naivety which isn't really smart or you know how absurd it is to pretend like you know that Biden does not have any other documents stashed anywhere without a search being conducted, which is unprincipled given your past positions on Trump's possession of classified documents.

The first batch of documents found were at a think tank office that Biden used AFTER his term as VP.

How would top secret documents be misplaced at a think tank office and more importantantly who there would have the clearance AND the need to know?

It also was not immediately clear when the additional documents were discovered and if the search for any other classified materials Biden may have from the Obama administration is complete.

Bradley Moss, a lawyer who specializes in national security issues and a frequent Trump critic, tweeted after the NBC report: "Nothing I have seen has changed my mind yet that Biden and his team, for now at least, are not at risk of criminal exposure. Nor do I have any reason to believe this changes the calculus on an indictment of Trump. That said, this sloppiness by Biden’s staff angers me."

No. The way to look at it is that the DOJ wasn't all that concerned with Mrs. Clinton witholding government documents.
