China is losing the tariffs war and retreating as fast as it can

Yeah, negotiations with China will be tricky. Important ramifications for both countries but tricky and likely the most complicated of any.

We must recognize during this epidemic of @anatta threads that US imports from China constitute less than 3% of China's overall GDP and that share has been dropping for some time. China has a massive domestic consumer base of what is rapidly approaching a billion middle class individuals, and has been shifting its economy toward domestic consumption for some time. Obviously @anatta isn't aware of any of this and, well, he's only allowed to redistribute talking points given to him by the media, hence we will have at least a few more threads like this until Donald finally capitulates, at which point the threads will change to either (a) his 5D chess and toned physique or (b) the immigrants.

We lost last time we tried a trade war with China. Cost us billions.
They are better prepared this time.
Donald has blinked, paused, reversed, and flip-flopped multiple times while China has stayed still.
You aren't fooling anyone.

Well, you've spent SO many comments stating with such surety that the Chinese will absolutely outlast the Americans - that now you'll simply have to spin a narrative to justify all those. So, no matter what happens, and no matter what sources or how many of them report it in any manner contrary to your prediction - you'll come up with all sorts of moving goal posts and even moving to entirely different fields - as to why you really were right all along. And this will go on for years! ;)

If you mean that I believe China will not enter into talks until Trump deals with his ridiculous tariffs then yes. As for the rest of your post...perhaps a tad emotional.
 
I'm going to go out onto the limb and predict that when all the dust from the China trade settles, we will be at the same point where we started, give or take a little. We will be in the same position with respect to tariffs, but we will have damaged supply lines for a year and increased pricing, yet trump will claim victory and strut around with his chest puffed out.
 
God, please tell me where MAGAs went to school. I need to keep my family away from those places.
