I am really looking forward to this series:

Honestly it is mostly because of the segments on homosexual muslims. The very notion of there being openly gay homosexual muslems is something that I believe doesnt really exist due to the widespread homophobia to be found amongst muslims.

Ok, but... why? I mean, all sympathies to the gays and to the gays who are muslims or living in muslim communities... but why are a you " really looking forward" to this series?
I mean, I'm watching documentaries or educational shows about certain things that interest me, but I've never gotten to the point that I ever said "I'm looking forward" to it. I've only used that phrase to describe a desire I have to watch a tv show or play a video game like age of wonders 3.

"I am really looking forward to age of wonders 3"... I never said something like "I am really looking forward to [anything political or with socio-political inclinations]". And it's not because I don't look at them when I find them, but because I've never felt that way.

So whats your stake in the matter? I mean, why are you so hyped about it? What's it to you?

That you do not express things in such a way, does not mean others cannot. You really need to get away from this 'self centred' approach, to discussion. May be The German is intrigued to a large extent, for the subject matter is 'apparently' a taboo amongst the Muslim community. May be the programme will re-enforce pervasive public opinion, may be it will dispel much of that opinion as pure fallacy, myth. All-in-all, I'm looking forward to it.

He explained why.

No, I'm not blaming or trying to shame him for his interest, i'm just curious as to why he is interested in said thing to the extent that he is.
He explained why.

Same idea. I applaud his interest in such things, it's good to have a healthy interest in how people live and where and how there is progress to be made, and clearly ,in regards to gay rights, there is room for improvement. I'm just curious about the wording and the sentiments he expresses. I wonder what motivates him to be interested, that's all. Is it personal? Political? social? Is it because he is fascinated or because of ideology? What?

You know what I'm looking forward to? Finding another group which only has 2% representation in society and then being subjected to never ending propaganda about them.

Muslims?

2% of the population receiving 98% of ire and spleen of 100% of the population of bigots. I'm looking forward to finding out what that's all about.
