I know this seems odd - who reads newspapers? I don't.

But I need a variety of art-related articles (actual newsprint - current) for my Art class - I was trying to find an online source that I can buy different papers from around the country but nothing seems to exist.

Or do I just not know my way around this part of the news world?

I read my local newspaper. I don't get my town or the surrounding town news from online sources as they are selective in what they put online. I also don't get it from my local TV stations so in order to know what's going on around me locally, the newspaper is the best way.
