Can we just stop trying to manipulate latin america?

my mistake with the names. Actually OAS's statement was not thoroughly documented. I notice you provide absolutely no sources for your claims. In Bolivia, A Bitter Election is Being Revisited - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
The NY times claimed the democratic party "stole" the elections from Bernie Sanders? 😂

Actually, considering every attempt by the left to “debunk” the OAS’ observations has failed, it’s clear that there’s plenty of evidence out there about Evo’s self coup.

The folks who claim Evo was “couped” are the same folks who howl that Sanders wuz robbed

There was no self coup. I provided the sources, you should pony up. The UN council on human rights disagrees with you.

Any “human rights” organization which lets ****ing Saudi Arabia have a leading role in it is a bad joke.

The Bolivian people rejected Evo’s attempt to cling to power.

Nope. OAS Should Retract Its Press Release on Bolivian Election, CEPR Co-Director Says - Center for Economic and Policy Research this isnt left wing dude 😂.
I dont claim Sanders was robbed and neither did the new york ****in times. Cripes dude.

ah so ya got nothing sourced. Im rather disappointed, i expected better from you.

anyone claiming OAS ****ed up including the new york ****ing times is left wing. What a world were spinning here

The fact of the matter is that there was no coup against Morales, who was running again against the explicit wishes of the Bolivian people.

Very short on facts or sources. I legitimately expected better from you but despite my tone im not in for a personal beef with ya.

Nobody cares bud.
Indeed. The internecine conflict on display here is of only entertainment value to those of us not wrapped up in your ideological obsessions (I know only one or two people IRL who have strong opinions about Bolivia's coups and/or elections). Still, it's funny to see two people getting so worked up when their worldviews are 99% identical.

Several sources have actually debunked the OAS observations. I've provided them and you are playing the "they disagree with me therefore they must be leftist" card.

The US Government and key agents in mass media purposely distorted the electoral crisis in the Bolivian presidential election for the purposes of the coup.

The coup was carried out by Jeanine Anez and a cadre of right-wing coup plotters who as soon as they got into power instructed the Bolivian Armed Forces to conduct at least two massacres of indigenous supporters of Morales, after which the right-wing junta granted the killers legal immunity from prosecution. The argument that Morales lost the confidence of the Bolivian people is hogwash because as soon as they got a chance to vote, they returned Morales's party to power and began calling for his return from exile in Mexico, to lead the country again.

The Bolivian regime change was enabled by a pan-Latin America network of think-tanks which are funded by very right-wing libertarian endowments in the USA. These think-tanks work to destabilise local regimes which try to promote progressive/left-leaning policies and so far they have been very successful in doing so.

Now why is Bolivia in the US Government's sights? Lithium salts, huge deposits which are essential for large scale battery construction. And China was negotiating access to them.

Cheers and be well.

Biden will recognize Guaido as Venezuela's leader, top diplomat says | Reuters

from promoting death squads and fascist leaders to pushing unelected puppets front and center can we just stop?
US: thats a nice democracy you have there..... Shame if something happened to it.....
Chile finally threw off the yolk of the US backed tyrant Pinochet and Bolivia finally threw off that cruel ultra right wing interim government only for us with absolutely no authority at all to recognize an unelected clown?

Who Is Venezuela’s Legitimate President? A Messy Dispute, Explained - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
Let the Venezuelan people work this out before conferring token legitimacy to a person who has not been elected yet yeah?

NEW YORK, Dec 4 (Reuters) - Consumer prices in Venezuela rose 65.7% in November, the opposition-controlled National Assembly said in a report on Friday, marking an acceleration in inflation in the crisis-stricken South American country.

That pushed the interannual inflation rate up to 4,087%, according to the congress, which publishes monthly figures due to the absence of official economic data. President Nicolas Maduro’s government has stopped regularly publishing indicators as the economy has spiraled into hyperinflationary collapse.

Yeah. Elon Musk was bragging about it. Where tigerace gets it wrong is he seems to think the failure of the interim government to keep MAS from taking their legitimate seats was somehow being gracious. Thats an entirely false narrative. The bolivian people simply won despite the interim’s harsh rule and they couldnt purposely push back the results any longer.

This is very much true. The OAS and the interim government should be held responsible for the damage they did to Bolivia.

The socialist candidate in Ecuador is leading heavily in the polls for the Feb 7 election. There are worries of a US-backed effort to stop the election & Pres. Lenin Moreno (who sold out Julian Assange) has flown to Washington DC to get Biden's help.
