A look at California's future is pretty grim, and ghost towns are going to come back to the state.

With Prop 23 being defeated leaving AB-32 to destroy the
Economy the rest of of the way and Prop -25 passing, we
have no real future to toward unless a real miracle takes place
and very soon.

The costs for a two worker family in the State will soon grow by as much as $15,000 or more per year, now and there seems to be no way to stop it.

Many may now be forced to look into moving to another State because there seems to be no way they can possibly manage to stay here with all the increased costs coming to every aspect of life here now.

The fools who bought the B.S. fell for the lies and even the cost of food is going to go up dramatically, to fix a problem that does not exist. It is all based on a the HOAX of Global Warming and the lies and fear worked.

This is going to be really bad and one of the goals is to drive people out of the suburbs and into cities.

California is pretty close to being in a tie with New York for having the worst business climate and it it just got a lot less friendly.

I wish I had answer to what we do now but I'm fresh out.

Part of the trouble coming here is the the push back that might come because of the voter fraud that took place with all the illegal who are free to vote in California no questions allowed to be asked.
 
Glad I'm planning on moving in about a year. California is about to get Detroit bad.

California has the nation's leading GDP. It isn't going anywhere. If it tanked the entire country would tank. I think things are probably going to get pretty tough for everyone below upper middle class, but where isn't that case right now?

It isn't going anywhere? Have you seen the level of debt of California? Its credit rating? The unemployment in this state?

If you do a little research you will find that California was once the leader in the Nation in education, now we are around #48, or 49.

We were once just a few years ago the 5th leading economy in the Nation and the world.

We have slipped to 8th place and unemployment is already at over 12.4% and going to over 20% very soon.

The State is barely keeping the wolves away now and that is going end soon.

If this State and the Nation does not wake up and very soon Obama and his Socialist plans are going to kill not only the economy.

The environmentally ill have got to be stopped because they are out to kill all progress and now in California they get their way.

It's crazy that legalizing pot failed, but allowing the idiots in Sacramento to raise taxes with a simple majority and the illegals all voted for Brown and he's going to protect the Unions that got the State he in the first place along with the wacko environmentally ill, and really stupid laws and rules that help nothing and will end up costing everything.

You know, I've just gotten to the point that I stop listening when I hear it. If you aren't smart enough to know the difference between Socialist and Keynesian economics then you aren't worth talking to when it comes to an economic discussion.

I can't believe that people think that these onerous new regulations in an environment with 12.4% unemployment is a good idea. There were ads saying that the global warming bill would lower energy prices! It's astounding that people believe these outlandish lies!

It's the mystique of government. For some reason people believe that the experts can fix everything, even though they've thoroughly ruined this state for going on 40 years now.

I reccomend you take an Economics 101 class. Keynesian advocates a mixed economy. If you don't know that much, then you aren't much better of than Councilman.

Keynesians essentially support a mercantilist economy, which definitely is not capitalist.

what a crock! WHAT fraud? you can show it? you can show even a valid SUSPICION of it? or does evidence matter in this matter as little as it does in all social or political arenas where you and your fellow travelers are considered extremist even by extremist from BOTH the left and the right?

we should keep turning our air into poison, our water into acid and the land into infertile dust just to save the profits of the swine Oil companies down in texas who sponsored that obscenity? The Bush agenda is dead here. we have those assholes to blame for the fact that Ca is only second in new energy technologies. take the paleocon ignoramouses out of the picture and we might well be ahead of China now - WE might be making the money we are SPENDING to restore a livable state.

Good riddance. The excessiveness of human beings knows no boundaries. Blame the goverment, blame the welfare system, blame anyone but yourself.

Reminds me of a little story:
There once was a city named Atlantis
It was the greatest, and most prosperous city in the world.
The citizens of that city ate and drank in excess. Bought things they couldn't afford, dressed like they were kings when they really were paupers. They killed forests to make toothpicks and animals to make fur coats.
One day, God got mad and sank that little city.

What's the moral of the story kiddies?

how is GDP calculated for states?

consumer spending, I can see. Government Spending I can see. Gross Investments I can see. But how do we figure the net exports - net imports portion of the calculation?

I find it hilarious how some of those who advocate redistribution of income and parasitic government activity are so livid about the tea party movement.
