So California not only wants millions upon millions of illegal migrants crossing the border and give them free healthcare, they also want to give them homes at taxpayer's expense. Thanks, libs. I wonder what's next after this? Give illegals tens of millions so they can run for Congress? Maybe even POTUS after they change the law?The loan program, called California Dream for All, provides 20 percent in down payment assistance, up to $150,000.
Holy shit.give them free healthcare
Holy shit.
Illegal immigrants get better healthcare than American citizens?
That's crazy. That sounds so true. I guess we should probably work on giving American citizens the same level of affordable care.
That seems reasonable for a state with such a large cash surplus.
Yes actually.Yep, government should make everything ‘more affordable’ by simply changing who must pay for it. From each according to their ability (to pay more taxes), to each according to their need (for more public subsidies).
False----don't "want" it, but they are using common sense here to deal with it so it becomes a win-win

It literally is more affordable. The free market is really economically inefficient at providing healthcare and just inelastic goods in general.
There is a staggering amount of wasted economic activity in the US healthcare system.

1. Undocumented immigrants pay taxes.
2. This is a loan, not a subsidy.
It isn't a theory. Healthcare is cheaper in other 1st world countries per person primarily because they cut out the middle man.Great theory, yet if (when?) the price of “inelastic goods/services” (frequently called ‘needs’) becomes subsidized then there is less (or no) reason for supply and demand to cause prices to remain as low as they currently are.
I don't assert that. I support a fully public healthcare system. Not a public + private one.You might assert ‘but competition will make (keep?) it all OK’, but that ignores reality or far fewer folks (perhaps closer to nobody?) would (currently) patronize providers charging higher prices for the same goods/services.
The problem with this is less for illegal aliens and more that the state of California will have some kind of ownership interest in every home sold under this program.

OK, but are these subsidies based on the amount of taxes paid, or basically the inverse?
A government guaranteed loan is a subsidy, otherwise why offer them?
Millions of homeless American citizens, but places like NY, CA, IL (to name a few, all bastions of Democratic power) have no money for them...but plenty of money for non-citizens.
Way to buy future votes with American taxpayer money.

It looks like it basically extends a loan for down payment for first time home buyers, to also cover eligible refugees. Its a $220MM program overall.
Dream For All | Shared Appreciation Loan
The California Dream For All Shared Appreciation Loan is a down payment assistance program for first-time homebuyers to be used in conjunction with the Dream For All Conventional first mortgage for down payment and/or closing costs.www.calhfa.ca.gov
This looks a lot like the Harris proposal for new home buyers.

Health insurance companies literally do nothing but create an unnecessary drain on the economy. In a single payer healthcare system they don't need to exist. And it drastically reduces the cost.
I don't assert that. I support a fully public healthcare system. Not a public + private one.
The price is free. Providers aren't charging higher prices because they wouldn't be charging prices at all. The government would directly run the system not pay a company to run it.
I should? That’s socialism, thus you should change your political lean.
Really? Oh right, you love your $1 head of lettuce, but you dont realize it will cost you more by paying for their house. Typical lib.Are you not aware that they are an integral part of our economy?
And you want to give illegals houses too. Why dont you let them move into your place?Holy shit.

How do taxpayers win if they have to shell out $150K a pop for every illegal who gets a house?False----don't "want" it, but they are using common sense here to deal with it so it becomes a win-win
