How about planning so it is not a financial catastrophe to communities. I have no problem getting rid of it in a correct manner that does not destroy whole communities
Again, other's would love to have NASA workers, and I'd do a phase out somewhat slowly. Also, quite frankly, I don't see a $17,000,000,000 a year subsidy for a small FL town as worth it. I looked at the wikipedia page. There is other stuff there so it wouldn't be a ghost town. The town would recover.
