Biden really blew it on this one and then he had to back track... but too late, the damage was done. Now republicans are balking at passing the bipartisan infrastructure bill if there's going to be a separate reconciliation bill....and there's no way democrats are going back down from the reconciliation bill.

But then, republicans need something to show their constituents back home, too....and blocking a bipartisan jobs and infrastructure bill isn't going to look too good for their re-elections.

Then the democrats need to pass both bills under reconciliation. In case anyone hasn't noticed, the republicans really don't want to cooperate on anything. They were doing it for political points back home. Screw em.

Biden announced the bi-partisan, infrastructure bill wouldn't be going through if a second "human infrastructure" bill wasn't sent through reconciliation in parallel (this measure was taken out of the bill, and opposed). Perhaps the press secretary should "circle back" on this, as Biden can't make up his mind whether to veto or not and has turned it into a circus ... great job Biden administration!
