(im from fl)
The first question is who is wakeup1776? Second question is should I trust a website I have never heard of?
1st question is whether you read the article or not? :-D
Cain is such a loss. Months ago, his ideas on finances, etc. caught my eye....then he cozied up to the religious right.
What a shame.
Do you actually think he would have a chance in the general election?
I don't and I think left wingers would be thrilled to have him nominated.

Interesting turn of events now to see what Hermain Cain does with this momentum!
It seems strange to me that Bachmann finished last. I don't like her, but after her Iowa win, that she finished dead last is a bit of a surprise. Something seems really off in the results...Cain was more than 20 points ahead of anyone.
I think he would stand a good chance.

The only thing about someone who has not held an elected office is that you cot easily tell if what they are saying is real or bull ****.
If someone who has held an elected office makes a claim about what the support or believe in then you can generally see if they are lying or telling the truth by looking at their voting record. For example a pollitician says they are pro-life but as govenor they appoint a pro-abortion judge to their state's supreme court, says they are against illegal immigration but enacts a law that gives to tuition for the children of illegals, says they love and respect the 2nd but voted for anti-2nd amendment laws, Says they are patriotic but supports outsourcing, says they think communism is wrong but supports outsourcing to communist countries then you know those politicians are lying their asses off.
You mean like Obama had a real voting record. A record of what? You mean like he was a community organizer?
Herman Cain I know has a real record of running businesses. That's a record of success I can believe in.

No, like he was a state legislator for seven years and a U.S. Senator for two years, and the President of the United Stated for 2 1/2 years. Like that.
I did not vote for Obama.Of course I didn't vote for McCain either. A lib and a RINO doesn't seem like much of a choice.
A business record won't tell us what he will do when he is office. Although since he is a business man there is the chance he might come up with acronyms that will sell more American jobs to foreign countries and some other unpatriotic activities.
A war hero versus a community organizer, easy choice for me.I did not vote for Obama.Of course I didn't vote for McCain either. A lib and a RINO doesn't seem like much of a choice.
Someone who thinks free trade is unpatriotic is a RINO. Free trade has been Republican doctrine since the Conservative Revolution, and was so irrefutably successful liberals adopted it and free trade became an America's principle delivered around the worldJamesrage said:A business record won't tell us what he will do when he is office. It's sad I always have to remind people of this but I'll go ahead anyway
John McCain was the most marginal candidate in the last election. It was all about Giuliani and Thompson striking each other in the debates. Huckabee and Romney were the underdogs. McCain and Paul were out of the picture... McCain had something like a .7% approval rating in 2007.
In elections like these, polls don't mean a damn thing. Perry and Bachmann won't make it because they are nuts, and while the GOP has its problems it won't nominate individuals as unelectable as them. Maybe back in 2000 when conditions were in place for Bush, but not right now... not against Obama. Santorum has never spent a day out of government, and honestly doesn't look Presidential. Romney and Huntsman are mormons and not part of the Tea Party, making them absent from two very key constituents.
It's Gingrich, Paul and Cain to me. I'm rooting for Cain big time and think him and Paul should be a ticket, but Gingrich is okay too. Cain is so strong because he is a businessman, appeals to the base but also is moderate enough to garner outside votes, and of course it must be mentioned that he is African-American
He is the strongest candidate in this pool

McCain sold himself out to the right's nutjobs, it's telling it didn't get him anywhere. He should've run on his 2000 platform and distanced himself from Bush, then he would've had something of a chance

You do bring up a good point of the Herminator never holding elected office, but neither did Eisenhower or Washington. Doesn't mean they weren't great Presidents.
Need I remind you that not everything is about partisan politics
He still has no record of accomplishments, just division and obstructionism unless you do what he wants, oh and a perfect record of "Blaming Bush" !No, like he was a state legislator for seven years and a U.S. Senator for two years, and the President of the United Stated for 2 1/2 years. Like that.
