*snort* Okay, whatever. . .the 'Free Minded United Kingdom' my ass. :lamo
I don't give a bugger for your donkey, serf - Just let this person come home.
I have to ask you just what you're talking about, here.
Come home? He broke the law, went to trial, and was sentenced to 35 years in prison.
I imagine prison life sucks just as much whether he's a woman or a man - so just leave him be, spare us the tax dollars, and make him serve his sentence. If he cared about his freedom and his future, he wouldn't have done it in the first place.
Right now he could be having his wang whacked off if he wanted to and be all goody-happy, but he chose a different life. He chose to be a criminal instead.
What law did he break???
If you know so much about the law then tell me what law he broke??
Bradley Manning, now Chelsea Manning, can be whoever he wants to be, as long as he does his time.
It's it a little late, now, to question what laws he broken, don't you think? That's been discussed and debated to death.
You can keep going - but I'm not in the mood for dredging back up everything that's been tossed around for all this time as if I wasn't the one paying any attention.
The "law" he broke has never been debated....
Few people are even educated enough to debate such a topic.
Funny how tolerant the "left" is...
This "individual" defies their dear fascist government and now all that "tolerance" has gone out the window.
Even the Chicago Tribune is mocking him.....
I know nothing about you racist bullies or your ludicrous capitalist politics. Let him come home.
Having a friend that had to go through this, I know it's hard for Manning to deal with being a man when he/she wants to be a woman.
However, he could have gotten this surgery had he not BROKEN THE FRIKKIN LAW as well. Sorry, but when you break the law, you get a lot of your freedoms taken away.
He didn't break any laws. The US gummint throws people in jail whenever those people threaten them, regardless of whether any laws have been broken. Anyone who doesn't know this had a baby shower yesterday.
There should be normal health care access when in prison, but this takes the cake. He can wait 35 years and get it done when he's out.
He will be out in 8 to 9 years.
He will be out in 8 to 9 years.
According to the OP article Manning entered the military in order to "straight"-en himself out, having self-identified as "Breanna" and dressed in women's clothing and makeup prior to enlisting.
I think this kid has a basket of neuroses that he mistakenly thought the rigor and discipline of military life would take away. He's obviously been deeply troubled for a long time, and got so wrapped up in his pain that he thought a document dump of classified info would be the right thing to do.
I don't think he should get either hormone therapy or sex reassignment on the taxpayer dime. Neither has anything to do with his health as a prisoner,.he has no social life in prison to speak of that would require him living as the sex he thinks he truly is
He's an American. He is home.
Bradley Manning is now Chelsea? Does he suffer from mental illness? He is to begin hormone therapy at tax payer expense.

Well, he's to sue the government to begin hormone therapy at tax payer expense.
The Army doesn't currently provide it to anyone.
What the **** happened to this country?
You are a lot of sick bullies, since you ask. Let him come home.

Your post is misleading, unless I'm reading it wrong. There is nothing in the article to indicate he'll receive hormone therapy. In fact, the article points out that Ft Leavenworth does NOT provide hormone therapy -- but does provide psychiatric counseling for gender identity issues.
I would pity the fool who let it be known in prison that he wanted to transition to a woman. I think he'd have a lot of unexpected help.
