Body cam footage released

Actually, I think there’s very little disagreement between the right and left about the murder of George Floyd. There’s nothing any more footage could show that could possibly justify how he died.
 

The bottom line is that Floyd's death has been ruled (by experts) to be the result of homicide. It would seem that the only logical defense to a homicide charge would be to argue self defense. Do you see any evidence in the video which would support a claim of self defense?

If one omits the bias (for or against) from the alleged perps being LEOs, would a citizens arrest resulting in the death of the suspect have been deemed acceptable (or unacceptable)?
 

In that particular clip what I see is a person resisting arrest, refusing to get in the cop car. Well, when you are legitimately arrested that is what happens to you, you are put in a cop car. Now as for the rest, what happened afterward, the cops are responsible for Floyd's death but as in most of these cases, it would have never gotten that far if the person hadn't resisted arrest or attacked the cops. I mean, what do you expect is going to be the end result if you do this stuff? The left is sending the message that you can attack cops, resist arrest, or run away, and that crime pays because the police can't do anything to you. Now they wonder why crime is increasing all across the country.

I wouldn't expect to be killed for the capital crime of "resisting arrest". Is that too much to ask; or are US cops so inadequately recruited and 'trained' that one should expect violence from them as a matter of course?

At the end of the day, the defense for the police officers will boil down to it was acceptable for Floyd to die with a knee to the back and neck using his own health against him.
 

In essense, he was mentally ill. In that he was drugged, and had claustrophobia. So, what you are saying is, ANY mentally ill person the cops deal with, can be killed. SICK.;

You should be smart enough to know that if you try resisting arrest things might not go as you planned. As I said, the left want to further the idea that crime pays because you can resist arrest, attack the police, or try running away and nothing will happen to you and you can continue your life of crime.

As usual you put words in other's mouths. In fact, I specifically said that these cops were responsible for Floyd's death. Just out of curiosity, how do you think these officers should have arrested Floyd so that it didn't progress to where it did? I'm betting I get the big dodge.
 
This cop thought he was so untouchable, so above the law he murdered someone in the full view of witnesses and while those witnesses were filming the murder.

No matter who you are, that should scare the hell out of everyone..
 

WEll, since he was ALREADY in handcuffs, they could have called for a van. A second set of handcuffs, could have tied him to a post, while they waited. This could have been explained. He was clearly delusional, for he was begging for his life and asking for MOM immed. I would have thought him mental.

The car they pulled him out of was the same size as the car they were trying to stick him into.

Floyd probably thought that if he put up enough of a fuss, the cops would give up and let him go.
 
Hindsight is 2020! At the stage where the police were putting him in the car, they had no way of knowing that the next half hour,
would change all of their lives! Clearly had they known the future, they would have done things differently, but they had no way to know!

So, your're saying that anytime a black person is arrested for a crime and doesn't want to get transported in a police car that they can demand a van instead? And since Freddie Gray died in police custody in a van, that is your solution? What if they refuse to get in a police car or a police van? What accommodations should the police be forced to provide then?
 

So you are saying, that cops MUSt drive to bash you? Yes, I am saying, that anyone that says, I have a mental problem, should get a van, and a grilling about said problem. And perhaps mental care to determine if they should suffer further punishment for being a pain.

Using body cam footage, can one rule out racism a one cause of the death of Floyd?

Too bad the Floyd protests weren't socially conscious (they were bigoted against the police) and the protests weren't protective of Covid outbreaks.

Um, if they say nothing, they are not scared, or have a problem. If they have a problem, then they should have to PROVE it to a pro. Simple. Humane. Logical.

Yeah. He had claustrophobia of police cars but not claustrophobia of the car he had been sitting in.
