My knowledge of Turkey politics is extremely limited but if a group attacks soldiers not civilians they are not terrorist they are insurgents or gorilla fighters or some other term which escapes me at the moment.
maybe ,but pkk also kills our civilians ,but the world media doesnt talk about it very much ,lastly a few months ago they bombed Ankara streets and many people were killed at this attack.2 years ago ,they bombed the most crowded street of Antalya(my city) and again lots of civilians were killed.
we cant say they are guerilla...
i remember ,when ı was in Ankara 10 years ago ,these bloody organization had bombed the people standing in front of Mcdonalds and i had walked around there only one hour before this attack happened.if i were a little late,i could be dead now.
If they target civilians they are terrorist. I am not by any means supporting terrorism but it has been practiced as long as man has warred. In America the US Calvary slaughtered women and children in attacks on villages and the Indians attacked white settlers in an attempt to scare whites away from settling on Indian land. In Roman times entire cities were slaughtered, every living thing was put to the sword to scare other cultures into submission. It's a wacky world.

For the record the PKK denied responsibility for this attack TURKEY - Police hunt for suspects behind Ankara bombing I wouldnt see the point in facilitating an attack and then denying responsibility, one would have thought that would defeat the object. Its true to say the the PKK has lacked clear leadership since its leader was arrested, so its possible that the pkk issuing the denial isnt the pkk behind the attack but i wouldnt rule out anything more sininster.
Eh, plausible deniability is yet another tool. Not saying you're wrong but if my object were to create chaos and fear I would look at what tools I had at my disposal, if people had reason to believe that a group I was affiliated with and was sure said group carried out the attack, but I could get authorities to waste resources based on a denial why not do it?(Speaking as a tactician there, not necessarily any other goal with that musing)For the record the PKK denied responsibility for this attack TURKEY - Police hunt for suspects behind Ankara bombing I wouldnt see the point in facilitating an attack and then denying responsibility, one would have thought that would defeat the object. red ,only pkk bombs our civillians.some leftist ones such as dhkpc just attack the policemen.islamist ones attack Ataturkist academicians.so only pkk is responsible for these attacks.

Then why would they deny it?
Well if you are seeking to bomb people into accepting your position then this is less likely to be work if people don't know that its you doing the bombing. All that chaos and fear do is bolster the Turkish governments position. The fact that its illogical doesn't rule out the possibility that one of the more extreme factions of the PKK are behind it but as ever I'm never sure whom to trust when it comes to the murkier side of Turkish politics.
because they dont want to lose their credibility in the international arena and among some kurds who believes they are innocent.
Then what purpose would the bombing have for them?
to force some idiots to accept all their unreasonable wishes..what else can it be?
But why would said idiot accept the wishes of an organisation as a result of something he didn't believe this organisation did?
I get the logic behind your position, everything equal I think you're probably right. The intent of the bombing is what would determine who would want what culpability. I really just wanted to throw out a possible reason to deny involvement. Then why would they deny it?

i think the aliens have been bombing the turks for 30 years according to red:shock:
I don't know who did it, but a lot of rich and powerful people stand to lose a lot of wealth and power if the conflict draws to an end, likewise a dissident faction of the PKK could have done this without approval from the top. Considering the fractured nature of both the Turkish state and the PKK there are many potential explanations.
8 Turkish troops killed in PKK attack in southeast Turkey
At least eight Turkish soldiers have been killed and 16 others wounded in an attack by the members of the terrorist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in southeast Turkey.
Local security services said the incident occurred in Yuksekova border region on Tuesday when the terrorists infiltrated into Turkey from their bases in northern Iraq to attack an army post in Yesiltas region in Hakkari province.
Reports said Turkish forces and combat helicopters pursued the attackers in the mountainous region which has been the scene of violent clashes between security forces and the PKK rebels in the past.
"Operations are continuing in the region. According to preliminary findings, 10 terrorists were rendered ineffective," the local governor's office said.
Thousands of PKK elements are believed to be based in mountain hideouts in northern Iraq, from where they regularly launch attacks on Turkish targets.
PKK is a terrorist group that launched an armed insurgency in 1984 to gain autonomy.
Listed as a terrorist group by Ankara and most of the international community, the group is held responsible by Turkey for the loss of nearly 45,000 lives over the past two decades.

Not sure how you can classify people attacking soldiers as terrorists. Now if these people had blown up civilians perhaps people could agree with you. You are in a war with these folks so it seems unfair to call them terrorists.
