The demonstrators pushed up against the reporter, forcing him backwards towards the protection of police, while another person seems to say “we’re going to knock his ass out.”

Well, it's all quite simple.
BLM is an invention. The aimless mission its creators has set them on is little more than to stir up animosity and derision, in other words, anarchy. The creators of it saw an opportunity to take the words of a couple women in Oakland, and turn it into a movement that helps to create chaos in order to promote the Progressive agenda.
Inventing enemies, like Fox News, is just part of the manipulation.
It's critical in this election year that the broken promises and disenfranchisement by the left in Black Communities is kept off their minds.
With the new minority the left is exploiting set to become a majority in the coming decades all they need for now is their support in this election year.
