Black Line Dancing Event Cancelled By White Miami Sheriff Just Prior, After Initial Approval.

So if a woman or child has been raped, but cannot prove it in court, then it didn't happen?
Did I say that? Assume that it did happen, what are YOU going to do about it? The law is the law, and will handle whatever you can prove happened.
No. That's BS. There is more that matters to society than the law.
Like what? Again, what you gonna do?
If there is racism but it cannot be proven in court that doesn't mean it wasn't racism. That doesn't mean no one was harmed by that racism. The law is one thing. Society is another.
No one has said that. What it does mean is that it isn't ACTIONABLE.
I have no such position. That is an erroneous claim. A strawman has been constructed for the distinct purpose of ripping it to shreds.
What got ripped to shreds is you attempting to use the "I feel it" as justification for making laws that are ineffective since you can't prove shit.
Neither of us is in a position to prove aversive racism exists and neither of us is in a position to demand such proof. One thing is apparent. When proof of racism is demanded while fully knowing it is usually impossible to prove, it suggests a denial that racism exists; but we know it does. Blatant racism is well documented. Subtle aversive racism is far more widespread, but impossible to prove.
I don't care what aversive racism is, if it cannot be proven it might as well not even exist.

The left believes that radical, violent, leftists must be permitted to drag people from their vehicles in order beat the crap out of them. Floridians disagreed and demanded the right to move forward in order to save themselves from harm. The left is insane.
This is nonsensical bullshit.

It's also a complete lie.

Predictably, there is more to the story and it includes the application itself and wildly terrible handling by the County in which this was to occur.

No matter the perceptions of the sheriff, event organizers could have handled this much better and been more honest about the intentions of the event.

Can't be. The right thinks protestors who block traffic should be run over.
Because left-wingers don't run over people? Please ask for a link.

So we can ban all public events by the far right because of Charlottesville, yes?
I wouldn't go as far as putting ALL the blame on the far right.

I personally know event coordinator's, promoters, production staff, organizer's, etc., and I can say that, without reservation, those people, (employees, teams, crews, and the people in authority, etc.,) are for the most part, progressive individuals and often slight the right-wingers for their viewpoints and ideologies. Yet, the fact remains, they too have cut back on performances that attract the African American communities due to the liabilities of past behavioral, (often violent) issues. What else could they do? It just a business decision that had to be made.
