[DEI] U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) introduced legislation Wednesday to formally block Immigration and Customs Enforcement from detaining or deporting U.S. citizens.​

Can't wait for the House GOP to slap this garbage down!

And even a fellow lib-prog congresscritter, appropriately named Ted Lieu (totally DEI), put the kibosh on Jayapal's bats**t amendment:

"The fact that Democrats ... feel the need to even introduce an amendment that says ICE cannot deport U.S. citizens is bats**t crazy," Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) said on the House floor.​

ICE should not be doing anything to US citizens.

The lawlessness and corruption of the Trump regime will be taught in criminal law classes for decades to come.

There’s a lot more to Thomas’ case that isn’t included in the article, which also gets several things wrong.

AG Lynch’s response to Thomas writ of certiorari which was denied by SCOTUS;

All in all, it appears that Thomas’ life didn’t start off great, but his deportation was ultimately his own fault.

I don’t see how that is the case.

The point of me putting this up is that he has been under threat of deportation since 2015.

Our current system makes it so people are effectively stateless even if they live basically their entire lives in the US.

The rationale makes makes no sense.

Did it take that citizen (whoever that may be) three days to provide proof?

Even if they didn't have anything with them, I knew government agencies were slow but I didn't think THAT slow!
