Indeed, last night's show sickened me more than most his shows and most leave me very queasy.

He and the little alphabet person he had on had hate in their eyes. They were not capable of thinking or speaking with any objectivity.
Bill mentioned his hate of American's most esteemed educational institutions scores of times.

No one challenge him or teh alphabet guy to point out that we last Saturday we all stood with Israel and it was not until after the pics of what 6,000 bombs in 5 days does to a densely populated city that people started to say, WTF, stop that shit Israel.

Maybe he gets a check from the Israeli propaganda chief to do what he did with his show last night?

I don't watch Meher for anything more than entertainment. Heck I don't watch the News Channels for anything more than entertainment.

As for what Arab states have done since the establishment of the Jewish State in the Middle East, that has nothing to do with the Palestinians. Arab states have attacked Israel for their own selfish reasons from the instant Israel declared its independence. We here in the US made that worse by orders of magnitude when we eliminated Iraq as a genuine buffer between Saudi and Iran. We completely destabilized the region when we went to war with Iraq and over false pretenses for that matter.

Oh and lets not forget that we turned Iran into our enemy when we installed the Shah at the head of the country flipping their own legitimate government in the process. Just because a government is doing things we do not like within their own borders does not make them illegitimate. What did the government of Iran do to deserve our wrath? They began nationalizing the oil industry in Iran.

But here is what I know to be true just from history. Human Nature is to group up as a defense mechanism. Once in a group we look to align ourselves with other groups again with the same intentions, mainly defense sometimes against real threats sometimes imagined or at the least overblown.

The Palestinians have never had any real alliances with anybody. The Arab States never cared about the Palestinians and they don't now care about them. If a group has no alliances nor supporters from anywhere they will be kicked to the curb, abused, used, taken advantage of. While I do not find any equivalencies between Israelis and Hamas it is clear that the Palestinians have been short shifted if not forever at least through the 20th and now 21st centuries, probably longer.

So while I would not "blame" the Israelis necessarily for their treatment of Palestinians to not recognize what has been happening in that region particularly after 1946 is to deny human nature. Maybe we just don't like to recognize what often motivates us.

Did the Native Americans have any alliances here? Did we not bulldoze them into the ground, slowly, slyly and ultimately completely claiming that THEY WERE THE PROBLEM the entire time?

I don't think the Israelis intend "flattening" Gaza City. But the end result might be the same.

This is no cake walk the Israelis are headed into despite Israeli bluster. This will be a brutal bloody battle and the outcome is far from clear.

Lets not forget that the "other" Iran proxy, Hezbollah sits right across the border in Lebanon ready to strike if they see an opportunity that truly presents itself out of this crisis. I don't even want to think about the consequences of that. However I doubt either Hezbollah nor Iran is thinking about it.
