Biden says efforts to restrict transgender rights ‘close to sinful’

I should probably be grateful that, growing up, your gender made sense to you. It clearly doesn't work that way for everyone.
 
385 bills against the LBQT community tells us that "protecting children" is just a ruse to oppress all transgenders.

"Last week, House Bill 2177 advanced to the state Senate after the House passed it 80-18. The measure would ban certain gender-affirming care like puberty blockers, hormones and surgeries for people under 18 years and blocks insurance from covering gender-affirming care for anyone, regardless of age."

And go after children in a variety of ways.

"Last year, Stitt signed laws that require students at public schools to use restrooms and locker rooms that match the sex listed on their birth certificates, banned transgender women and girls from competing on sports teams consistent with their gender identity and banned nonbinary gender markers on birth certificates."

An internal investigation revealed that Tavistock failed on several accounts, including keeping “routine and consistent” data, pursuing an “unquestioning affirmative approach,” and disregarding other health issues.

The National Health Services (NHS) of England, the country’s publicly funded healthcare provider, has warned that most children who identify as transgender are experiencing a “transient phase.” The statement is reflective of “evidence that in most cases gender incongruence does not persist into adolescence,” the NHS report states.

This cites zero cases.

Interesting that the problems cited in this clip could be resolved having them keep routine and consistent data and have them regard other health issues. But the conservative government chose the most extreme solution of ending the process altogether. Clearly a political decision, not a public health one.

Beyond that, the effort to deny this health care to children expands to denying it to everyone and to prohibiting transgender youth from identifying as they are through a variety of other oppressive laws.

There is a reason why minorities are leaving the Democratic party; it is because of frivolous things like this.

Do you really think it is offensive to use terms like 'pregnant woman' instead of 'pregnant person'

Latinos and Asians are leaving, and soon blacks will flee this tomfoolery.

You think your narrow focus, despite the actual lack of evidence to support it, absolves you of the repression states are exerting against child and adult transgenders.

You could take a less extremist approach and support greater regulation of the process, but by supporting banning it altogether, you give cover to those who want to do and are doing quite a bit worse.

Children are not incapable of making rational decisions. The OP starts with a false premise. They are less likely to make one, which is why being transgender is not based off of simply that statement made by a child.

All I do is cite evidence. I support banning it except for clinical trials like the nation that invented this procedure and has the most experience with it
