Biden pulls out list of Republicans he says are taking credit for rescue plan they opposed

Tell me this isn't trying to take credit for something he voted against:

They didn't use up their 240 characters. They could have added, "and I had nothing to do with it."

Right after you explain how announcing a fact amounts to "taking credit for it," when neither of them actually said they had anything to do with it.

It's implied. When a politician writes constituents saying, 'look at this great program that is now available,' they are implying they had something to do with it. Only the willfully blind can't see that.

Not one con in this entire thread has an ounce of honesty in any of their posts in here. Not one. Just gaslight trolling and playing dumb to "own the libs".

That's an old... and already failed schtick, from March. I'm surprised they are letting Biden trot it out now. The quotes pointed out were people informing their constituents about services in the bill - not 'taking credit'.

But in reality, there were some good things in the bill.... that were there when Republicans originally pushed them and Democrats opposed. The problem with the bill that passed - leading to opposition - was the pork stuffed into it, much of which had nothing to do with Covid.
Oh give us a break. Ok, how about this, they were not "insisting" they were responsible for the benefits, they were "implying" by their language. Or would "hinting" be acceptable?

Holy cow, if it's so great why didn't he vote for it?

If he wants to brag about it shouldn't he tell them he voted against it and why?

Seriously?

Your kidding right?
Because they stuffed so much crap into the whole bill it did not deserve a yes vote. The good stuff is good, why did the Dims put all their social justice garbage into it? He would have gotten bi-partisan support, which he claims he wants, but really doesn't care since he has the votes to jam it through. THAT's left wing hypocrisy, and it WILL come back to bite them.

Nonsense.

Credit thief 'splainin.

No, I know exactly what you are whining about. They are touting certain aspects of the law that they supported. Boo hoo. Get over it.
**** those lowlife lying GOP ********ers.
Support requires actually voting in support.
It's an all or nothing proposition.
They are spineless liars.

Nonsense.
Naïveté.

I am sure some in the GOP will soon be honoring the ACA, despite voting against it. Sort of happened already, as they no longer refer to it as Obamacare. That's politics, for republicans to take unearned credit and for Biden to call them out on it. Happens on both sides.

No matter - it's very sleazy, unprofessional, and absolute lying.

**** the lying GOP.

As usual context matters...I suspect that there are things in the legislation that Republican's liked, and may have even helped get into the bill, but becuase Democrats have to always put in these poison pills to ruin bipartisanship, then use that as politics to go after Republican's shouldn't stop those Republican's from touting the good things in the bill....

IOW, as usual Democrats must have complete capulation or they are attacked...Just more of that "Unity" Biden promised huh?

Covered that already.

Why don't you tell the truth and admit that he wasn't bragging about it, that the Democrat's plan was a bloated mess, and that support from businesses was part of the Republican plan.
Lol.

Bragging about it is exactly what he was doing.

Trying to take credit for a program that wouldn't exist had he gotten his way.

That is what he was doing. He got called out for it.

Modern Republicans are so comfortable with lies and dishonesty I wonder if they can even distinguish anymore.

Exactly. They'd have an out had they qualified their support for just that bit or did a full disclosure to explain that they liked this part only in this bill they voted against but they didnt. Hence they are lying credit theives.

It will always be Obamacare. Perfect name for another liberal teat.

Fine with me. My wife and son have benefitted from Obamacare, just as I have from the twin teats of Social Security and Medicare. We all feed at a one teat or another. What teat benefits you, or do you pave your own highways or drive your letters cross country to deliver them?

Biden pulls out list of Republicans he says are taking credit for rescue plan they opposed

During a speech in Cleveland, President Joe Biden pulled out a list of Republican lawmakers he said was taking credit for the American Rescue Plan, the $1.9tn Covid relief bill they opposed.

“My Republican friends in Congress, not a single one of them voted for the rescue plan,” Mr Biden said.
...
“Back in their districts, they're bragging about the rescue plan. They touted the restaurant revitalisation fund, they touted... grants to community health care centres... I mean some people have no shame,” Mr Biden said.

Republican hypocrisy can’t be understated. The voted against the plan and then go back home and try to take credit for all the good stuff is in it.
LOL, what recovery plan? Looks a lot like a typical liberal dependence and destruction of incentive plan to keep people like you dependent. What is the unemployment in your state again? Want me to give you Florida and TX? Rescue plan or nanny state gov't creating plan?

lol

That is pretty funny. But it's going to be typical of Republicans. They'll oppose everything Biden wants, but if Biden gets positive results, they'll take credit for it. Their base will eat it up too.
Red states seem to be opening up, what is your problem with blue states, not enough people yet dependent on the liberal spending in the name of compassion that only destroys incentive and keeps people from going back to work

Colorado has been fully open for a little over a month, and was partially open for several months before that. So I don't know what the **** you're talking about.

THIS JUST IN:

Trumpeteers will call this fake news!

That is a ludicrous liberal response, but it might as well be a Communist one.
