The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into a Friday incident in which a group of Trump supporters, driving trucks and waving Trump flags, surrounded and followed a Biden campaign bus as it drove up I-35 in Hays County, a law enforcement official confirmed to The Texas Tribune Saturday.

The confrontation, captured on video, featured at least one minor collision and led to Texas Democrats canceling three scheduled campaign events on Friday. The campaign officials cited “safety concerns” for the cancellations.

The highway skirmish came as Democrats close ground in a state that is polling like a potential battleground in the race for president. Recent polls indicate the presidential race in Texas between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden is tight, with some national prognosticators calling it a “toss-up.”

“Rather than engage in productive conversation about the drastically different visions that Joe Biden and Donald Trump have for our country, Trump supporters in Texas [Friday] instead decided to put our staff, surrogates, supporters, and others in harm’s way,” said Tariq Thowfeek, Texas communications director for the Biden campaign.


On Saturday night, Trump tweeted a video of the Trump supporters following the Biden bus saying, “I LOVE TEXAS!”

I keep saying this but I'm so glad that Donald Trump, a con man from New York City, caused a whole bunch of Southern and midwestern men, and really a whole bunch of men across the country, to drop their masks and show the entire country who they really are.

It's my belief that a ton of Americans didn't really know how bad, way worse than deplorable, that they are. Now they know.

Here's what I find so strange.

Like, coming from Societies that are far more cynical about our politicians... The fact you're willing to do this is just so bizarre to me, I Mean even taking the violence angle out of it for a moment, I mean, it's just... Sad.

To take the time to do this because you're so passionate about a windbag like Trump... I mean you have to be a really crazy kind of person, to do this for any politician would be a sign of mental illness, but to do this for Trump I mean...

They should be charged with reckless endangerment, and plea that down to LOSE license for two years. Pay exhorbitant ins.

To me it's just an example of some people not really believing the the "free market of ideas"; where whatever idea(s) for the direction of the country are favored, they're reflected in how people vote. I have no issue with Trump supporters protesting a Biden rally, but doing this on an open road is a special level of dumb.

Armed and certifiable. And every rally Trump holds is focused entirely on making those people very angry. All his rhetoric is meant to incite rage in those people.
 
My wife just asked me if I thought that she should take down our Biden/Harris yard sign so we don't get attacked. It's her sign, so I told her to do whatever she wants to do. I also told her that I consider it bait as I unlocked the gun case.
 
Not surprised at all there's a lot of pickup trucks in the video. The transportation of choice for gun-clutching Bubbas and Jim Bobs that makes them feel real tuff cause they saw commercial with a cowboy kicking up a huge cloud of dust with it.
