BF1943 PS3, anyone else game?

While I used to hold your opinion. And this goes quadruple for shooters.. being without a Gaming Rig has opened my eyes to the advances in Console Gaming.

And I LOVE my PS3 and Xbox360... DROOLING over Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 right now. It's mad intense online.

Well, I'll be straight honest, as soon as I can afford to get one, I'm buying the "mouse Keyboard" converter for the X360 so I can use those in game. Aiming SUKS ASS with sticks (controller).

HOWEVER, the games, have reached a point where they look DAMNED GOOD, and on a 40" HD 1080P screen...

You should see the graphics on some of the higher end gaming PCs. Even older PCs have better graphics.

Run dual SLI 9800s (there's little point in Triple SLI) with an early i7 core and 6 gigs of RAM is pretty amazing.

But I will give you that Xbox Modern Warfare is better in match ups. They pretty much nerfed the browser form of joining a game for PC. pretty much why I didn't bother.

While YES, a good PC can beat a Console, I've had no issues with my Xbox360 in MW2 so far. Just want my mouse and keyboard.

Eh, you're better off with crossfired ATi Radeon HD 5970.

But don't get a third card for either crossfire or SLI. There isn't any material benefit.

The bitrate is better on the 480, but the ram and tex units are better on the ATI.

Still, I don't like how the power consumption of these cards is exploding. I remember when my 9550 just plugged into the AGP with no additional power connectors.

Eh. Electric bill is going to rise. There's a reason I stuck to a relatively reasonable graphics card for this build. I don't want to have power supply that has more watts then my checking account has money.

Good point. However, my ex-wife STRIKES AGAIN... so no PC for another... god knows how long.

(She had a power of attorney while I was deployed and used that to get some credit cards... I didn't know she got a STAR CARD... 2,500 on it, never paid... guess where THAT ended up? US Treasury Dept. at 5,000 owed and rising. So now my Tax Return is gone... sigh.)

On a bright note, it appears I kick serious ass at BF2:BC2 on the PS3.
