I think Popeyes is the best as far as national chains go and then Churches.

But there is a local chicken place called LEE's Famous chicken.Great seasoned and crispy fried chicken.Although several years ago 4 people were found shot to death execution style in the walk-in freezer.I do not think that incident has damaged thier business any.

The best fried chicken?

My Aunt Ruth's...

i voted KFC. I dont know any real people that make good fried chicken, and I've not had it from any of the other places.

I hate to break it to you but KFC uses some of the worst quality chicken on the market.

Really? How do you know?

I voted for Popeye's. I love their chicken, but I won't eat anything other than a breast. ;) Seriously--no thighs, no legs, no wings.

I voted for popeyes because I love the spicey chicken and I haven't heard of any other choice besides KFC.

I read a TIME article (as usual). I also voted for popeye's. Now that's good chicken.

I thought you were going to tell me that you worked there and knew first-hand about the chickens they buy. Whew.

I love getting just a spicy boob with a buttery biscuit. I treat myself to this gruesome twosome about once a year. LOL

Well, if I cant vote for my own fried chicken, then its pop-eye's hands down. They actually have crispy fried chicken and the spicy breading is great compared to the other guys.

Having been an assistant manager for both Harman Corp. and KFC franchise for a few years, I can honestly say that KFC fried chicken sucks.

It has nothing to do with where they buy their chicken from, it's how the chicken is handled after preparation that makes all the difference.

Long story short, 14 year old high school brats care very little about immediately closing the doors to the King display and CresCore holding units. This causes the meat to cool, harden, and resemble jerky more than fried chicken.

There are only 2 times during the day when you can go to a KFC and be guaranteed good chicken: the 1st. is right as the store opens, the 2nd. is 30 min. into the dinner rush, between 5 and 6 o’clock.

If you must use KFC, for say a large order (50+ pieces), super bole game, etc, Always call ahead your order and specify that you do not want any chicken that is currently ready.

Oh the horror stories I remember.......
