More importantly, Pelosi only rejected two of the candidates, but McCarthy chose to withdraw all of them. Now they have no seat at the table, though I don't know how much that would have mattered given the simple fact of what happened on 1/6 and the actions to subvert the election through legal means the former president took.


I don't think that's the case at all. Having members there could have added some more probing questions and also had a seat at the table in the committee.
