As a way of getting more participation in the True Debates, a prize should be offered to the winners. That prize could be a "Get out of Ban-Free" card, where any poster who wins one can use it in the event they are notified that they are being reviewed for a perma-ban, partial-ban or any other kind of ban. The winner can use it like insurance if the verdict does not come down in their favor. They flash their "Ban-Free" card and dodge a bullet.

But in the event they used the card for a 2 day ban or a 1 week ban, then found themselves facing a perma-ban, it's TSOL. You can only use the card once, before you have to go win another one! And if they are a really good debater, they can acrue them like credits on their account.

Like who here is that good?

................. I didn't say anything!

I don't think any true winner of the true debates would ever need a ban free card.

You are gonna need to up the ante a bit if you want my full attention. I have never been close to being banned. In fact, I think I have only ever had one formal infraction. It was deserved and given to me by mixedmedia.

You can go ahead and give me my medal now, though.

Ok, how about a prize that's more noteworthy, prestigous and gives to that winner something for the common good of everyone:
A full month to abuse any poster you want with impunity!
Call it, "The Iraqi Award"

or, if some of you are offended by that name, how about...

"The US hired private security contractor award"

lol - I have been working behind the scenes for gift certificates from our store. Problem is that we can not give them anonymously and need addresses of recipients.

If I were receiving a gift and they needed my address I would be leary. It would be best to send in email or PM a link to claim a prize.

How about 1 free week as a moderator?

How about 1 free week as a moderator?

I have a better idea. 1 free week as an assistant to the teacher in the basement. Teacher would create a new subforum called "Outer Darkness", and will have you moderate it 24/7 during the one week period. What you will not be told is that it is a locked subforum, which is impossible for anyone to post in. During the one week period, with you keeping a vigilant eye out for an offending post, everybody would be laughing their butts off at you for moderating nothing. Good practical joke, huh? :)
