Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot[W:72,732]

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

Sounds to me like he's reading a script.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

That will add some spice to the court room. It might be icky tho.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

Dorian Johnson absolutely lied.

He was THERE.

No the Car door didn't " accidentally " get pushed back at the Police officer.

No, Michael Brown didn't get shot in the back. No, he didn't " fall to his knees and surrender with his hands up ".
No, the Police officer didn't " grab Brown's neck and pull him into the Car.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

It made me think they cut out the next section of the audio, where he asks the girl if she is 18.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

How do you know the car door didn't accidentally get pushed back at the police officer? No verified reports have contradicted this.

Doesn't mean he didn't think Brown was actually shot in the back. Why are you jumping to "lie"?

Doesn't mean he didn't think Brown was actually grabbed around the neck and Wilson attempted to pull him into the car. Why are you jumping to "lie"?

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

Read my post above and compare it to the four eye-witness accounts of what they saw and heard.
The audio is perfectly consistent with the witness accounts.

All of the witnesses sound credible except for Johnson. This case could go either way. I bet there will be a load of forensic experts going over this whole thing trying to spin it to whichever side they are working for.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

11 Shots in 5 seconds.
Short pause between 6 and the other five. Likely Brown was still coming at him.
Just more evidence.

It's odd that the guy doesn't react in the slightest to the gunshots that sound like they are right outside his window.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

Sounds to me like he's reading a script.

Gotta have everyone on the same page, I guess, whether it's true or not!

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

Sounds to me like he's reading a script.

Sounds to me like he is talking to an internet stripper.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

Sounds to me like he is talking to an internet stripper.

And recording it? Why?

I'm kind of ashamed to admit this but I have very little knowledge of how online video strippers work. Do you actually talk to them like on Skype?

Here's just the part with the shots.

It sure sounds to me like "You. Are. Pretty. You're so fine. Just going on some of your videos..."

To my ear he's either reading or talking while he types........
.............or he's reading what someone is typing to him and it's his cam show!!!

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

Or just as likely that he was lying on the ground with blood seeping out of multiple bullet wounds, eh?

How can anyone really know if they weren't an eyewitness?

So, your "plausible" alternate scenario would be that at least 5 of the first 6 shots missed Brown, Brown then lay on the ground surrendering, and Wilson moved closer and shot him 5 more times, all hits, but the majority into Brown's right arm, and the shot into the top of his head is explained how?

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

He's hitting on someone who he thinks is hot and has videos. I just figure that he comes off as phony because he's their customer.

My guess is that there is accompanying video to this audio that couldn't be shown on CNN.

Let's not be subjective here. LOL

With his tone of voice, who says it isn't the guy who's on the job here, working from home, chatting up some lonely housewife? It could be just that creepy.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

This is true, but your suggestion seems ludicrous considering the number of shots fired, the number of shots that hit, and their entry into Brown's body as evidenced by the family's autopsy drawings.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

in watching the MSNBC interview of the various eye witnesses, i hear some say that the deceased was holding his arms up in the manner of surrender (once turned around, facing the officer). however, the fellow who did not see anything until the deceased had turned to face the shooter indicated the deceased was holding his arm while bowed over - NOT in a form of surrender
other than that, there seemed to be significant consistency between their observations

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

If Brown was laying on the ground, all the shots will have to be explained and they all entered the front of his body, which would have been impossible if he were lying down.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

If the witnesses are saying Brown had his arms up and then he was shot, they can't be telling the truth.

The entry wounds would have been on the back of his arms and not the front.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

It's just speculation, but I think this recording of the shots fired - if it's authenticated - could provide proof that both sets of eyewitnesses are telling the truth as they saw it. It is plausible, in my view, that Brown was "charging" back at Wilson and that the first set of six shots wounded Brown sufficiently to knock him to the ground but not incapacitate him, following which Brown tried to get up off the ground at which point the second set of shots were fired, including the fatal one.

In this scenario, those who claim that Brown went to the ground to surrender with his hands up may simply have seen Brown wounded and with arms extended hitting the ground. Then, when Brown rises, onto his knees and perhaps higher, he may still have appeared capable of doing harm to the officer and he fired the remainder of the shots. It's possible Wilson told him to stay on the ground and Brown didn't - considering the struggle for the officer's gun that reportedly took place earlier and the size and strength of Brown - Wilson would have feared for his life if Brown was trying to rise and come at him again.

Re: Attorney: New audio reveals pause in gunfire when Michael Brown was shot

So then Wilson's claim is something like:

- He tried to grab my weapon, I fired a shot while in the police car
- Brown retreated a good distance away
-For an unknown reason, he then suddenly initiates a banzai charge at me, despite the fact he can see my weapon and he knows I am willing to use it
-I shoot and wound him, temporarily stopping his charge
-He then struggles to get back up and resume the banzai charge
-I was still in fear for my life, so I killed him.

Brown was far more "Pillsbury Doughboy" than "The Incredible Hulk"- on PCP. If this is the fact pattern, getting a jury to buy Wilson's claim that this shoooting was truly needed is a huge stretch.

Fine. Now we know what may or may not have happened according to you.

Me, I'm going to wait until the courts issue their opinions then I'm going to issue my opinion.

If I'm still around after that happens.
Except you already offered your 'opinion'...that it is as likely he was lying down seeping blood as anything else. Your lack of knowledge or first hand experience didnt stop you from presenting a countering opinion.

This really could (operative word here being could) somewhat fit the story Johnson provided. The officer shot at Brown while he was running away. Brown stopped and turned around, walking or running towards the officer = the pause. Then for some reason, which is unknown at this time, the officer shot 5 or more times again killing Brown.

No, it supports the Officers story.

The " pause " was too short for Brown to stop, turn around, surrender with his hands up and drop to his knees.

Did you listen to the audio ?
