Atheists know more about religion than the Believers

Actually very few christians take this piece of scripture very literally. I would challenge you to show "most religious people" pulling out their eyes but that would be pointless. Almost everyone in the religion relalizes that it was a metaphor then and is a metaphor now of removing and focusing yourself so that you dont sin. It is a metaphor of removing temptation from your life and almost everyone gets that.
