Lol what a crock of shit you just spewed. The 2nd Amendment did nothing to stop tyranny from reigning freely in the south for well over a century. The 2nd Amendment did nothing to stop the tyranny of the last years of Jim Crow, where civil rights activists were murdered by far right terrorists for helping people vote. If the goal of the 2nd Amendment was to prevent tyranny, it’s been a dismal failure.

You are confused as usual. In the south, the second amendment was violated by the government and its Klan allies so as to DISARM the freed slaves. The failure was that the second amendment was NOT INCORPORATED by the federal judiciary

The Klan was full of ordinary citizens, all of whom happily exercised their 2nd Amendment right.....to conduct terrorist attacks in defense of Jim Crow. The Amendment enabled death squads free reign to terrorize the countryside even during Reconstruction.

the issue with the second amendment is not when ALLIES OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARE ARMED but rather when minorities or those NOT FAVORED ARE DISARMED. there was no second amendment in state governments back then. You apparently didn't understand that. The second amendment is not why the klan and the Klan dominated state governments were armed but rather a lack of second amendment at the state level is why the Blacks were DISARMED.
