Army ROTC/Serving with Army

I'm starting with ROTC, and I intend to contract with the Army after my 4 undergrad years.

Does anyone have any advice on doing well in ROTC, and what to expect in the Army itself? Any advice on choosing a specialization when I take a commission?

I know there are a ton of veterans on DP, so I'd appreciate any advice you guys have.
