Arizona voters have approved Proposition 208, a measure that would raise money for educator salaries by taxing the state's highest earners.

The measure, also known as the Invest in Education Act, will raise revenue primarily for educator salaries by adding a 3.5% tax surcharge on taxable income over $250,000 for individuals and $500,000 for couples. A small fraction of taxpayers would be affected.

you ruin a state with your idiotic politics then get sick of the crap you passed. you then move to a different state and do the same thing again acting like it is going to turn out differently. that is the definition of insanity.

we passed a school bill here but it is a .5 cent increase on the sales tax and it affects everyone in the county.

I think most people in AZ are ready to get back to feeling good about each other, doing what's helpful for the state, and appreciating our diverse culture. You who divide, can form your own small group, go out in the desert, and party alone.

Arizona is a melting pot, most of our citizens are from all around this nation, and other countries, like Canada and Mexico. It's always been that way, we have never adopted the segregation of the south. If you want that, move to another state, there are still a few to choose from who adhere to that crap.
