If so, on what?
I know I am voting to repeal Ohio's law banning collective bargaining for public employees....I do need to study up on the ballot, though. I hear there are a lot of levies and other stuff. I'd link a copy of my sample ballot here, but Ohio counties and cities have ballot issues as well...and likely this is also true where you are, too. So instead, I urge you to Google for your sample ballot and study on your issues.
So, without a major issue or race involved, and without a hectic media blitz to annoy us all, will you be voting next week?
IMO, these "minor" elections may be even more important to our daily lives than the big presidential elections, as I believe what Tip O'Neil said:
"All politics is local."
Before you decide it ain't worth your time on November 8th, please remember....MANY people have fought for and even died for your right to vote.
I've only votyed in 1 elections since the presidential election... not because i didn't want to though.. but because i've moved around a lot lately( internationally and domestically) ... before that, i rarely missed an election...
I gain Texas residency in 1 more month... yay me, I can finally register here.... time to bring some libertarianism to big government republicans home turf.
No votes here in Texas, unless you count my HOA...and yes I'm voting out our HOA leaders. They'll just tell us they won again, but everyone knows different.
I think you'd be ok. Your situation is the opposite from what I mentioned of mine above. You are leaving before the election.I'm struggling with this one a bit. I almost always vote, but this year, I'm still living in Ohio for the election, but will be moving to Michigan less than a month afterwards. I feel like it's slightly unethical to vote for things that I won't have to deal with personally. I'm going to have to think on it some.

Welcome to Texas
I do not know.....
Moving has been a nightmare.. I own properly in both York Haven and Goldsboro....so how does this affect things ??
We need a to of reform here.
No one should be able to "buy" an elected position as is the case today.
And why are we asked to vote for judges ??? We do not know the first thing about them , even when they do communicate...
Voting is such a sham !
Meh, normally I only vote in presidential elections. And it's doubtful that I'll even do that, this time around. The chance that I'm going to cast the deciding vote is miniscule, so it's a waste of my time.
This is a selfish, foolish and short-sighted POV, IMO.
I cannot believe anyone finds the time to bitch and blither on and on on a political message board on the fukkin' web,
but yet will not do even as little as VOTE.
Major loss of respect here, Kandahar. Please reconsider.
