Are You Still Masking in Public?

Are You Still Masking in Public?

It's a P95. I didn't wear a mask (much) after my friends and I were vaccinated. I noticed when not wearing the damn thing that I'd be coughing all the time, so I tried it for 2 days and it cut my runny nose and hacking and gross-ass spitting to almost zero. After this pollen season is over, I'll quit using it until next season. True, I don't like wearing it but I do feel better at night. PS: Never had allergies until I hit my 70's They suck...big time. :(
okay, yeah any of the 95 masks work really well at that.

Just FYI You can get away with N95 if they are cheaper. P and R ratings are for oil resistance.

I've had mule allergies much of my life.

I'm vaccinated and wear a mask at stores and other indoor establishments. It really doesn't bother me, I've never understood all the complaining. When I notice other shoppers who are unmasked I avoid them. As members of this site have stated, it's easy to "claim" you have been vaccinated. Employees of all stores and restaurants here wear masks, and many have said they are not comfortable dealing with the public without masks. They've been through the worst of it while others worked from home these past 14 months, and I can understand their apprehension.

I see scumbags at the supermarket now without masks.

These people have no respect for a civilized world.

About always a Trumpet.

If an establishment requires it I'll not got or comply. But I don't wear one 95% of the day.

I see people enjoying the fact that things are getting back to normal in a civilized world.

It's amazing how people see things so differently.

SIGHS!

I can not imagine living in the mind of some Americans, and yes, I KNOW I will get called names and roundly insulting for saying that, which will only serve to prove my point.

I live in a part of Canada where the case counts are SO low that it would seem ridiculous to wear a mask, yet, EVERYONE in my community does so, NOT as a political statement, NOT as a mandate, because we want to keep our case counts SO low.

None of us think this is an assault on our liberties, none of us whine like little children, we wear our masks with pride and consideration for others. Another couple of months, with summer weather, vaccinations, and continued vigilance, we will get past this........... SO what is the big deal?

A mask diminishes your manhood? Damn, if that is all it takes, I would suggest Viagra to make up for the loss of your manhood, SHEESH!

The reasons THEY give for not wearing masks are so lame as to be laughable, all about "freedoms" and "rights" when you and I know it is a bunch of brats who feel that wearing a mask is an assault on their manhood "look at me, big man, don't wear a mask." There is a word for people who think that way and it ain't "manly". ;)

There is definitely a line in the sand about mask wearing that does not seem connected to any reality.

Ohio lifted all the mask mandates. I wore a mask into businesses that required it. I don't know if any still do but none of the ones I have patronized lately. So I ditched the mask but keep one in my car in case some place requires them.

Where are you with masking today?
Exact same place I was with masking last year - only if the business requires it.

If a business requires a mask I will comply but otherwise why should a have to wear a mask? I am fully vaccinated so I can't get the virus and I can't give the virus to anyone else. Right now its totally political. Do as I say and shut your pie hole.
Vaccination does not grant immunity. You can still get any virus you've been vaccinated against, you can still develop covid from it, too. The vaccine just means you probably won't get very sick.

Oh no it doesn't, More importantly it renders you as being nearly incapable of transferring the virus to others even if you should contract it. And that right there should be the crux of the matter.

Just like Donald Trump's underwear.. depends!

If we're fully vaxxed we're allowed to unmask at work. If I'm in situation where everyone else is wearing a mask then so will I.

You don't have to get so angry.. I agree with you and conduct my mask-wearing as you do.

I don't see how this is different from what I said.

Well before the vaccine you probably wouldn't get very sick either.

Masking is not voluntary. I am forced to wear one even after full vaccination. The mask is a he west’s version of the Chairman Mao suit.

Other.
Only if required.
I wore a mask at the vet today because they require it.
Most places are no longer requiring it in my area, and I dont wear a mask in those places.
I am ready to move on and get back to normal.

I only wear one when required to, or if I'm out with my kids and they're required to.

Where are you with masking today?

In your zeal to post a partisan poll, you left off a very obvious, intelligent, courteous, and reasonable option.

I don't use a mask anymore unless I'm asked to by the businesses/companies/offices that I'm either employed in, catering to, or visiting as a customer/patient.

My employer still requires masks. So I wear one and I'm thankful to have a job.
My doctor's office requires masks. So I wear one when I go.
I check the signage at the entrance of any business before I enter to make sure they don't require one. I always have a mask on me or in my car just in case.
Often times I'll flat-out ask whoever is working in the establishment if they require customers to wear masks.

If there's no requirement then no, I don't wear a mask as I've been fully vaccinated, and I'm past the two week waiting period after the second shot.

If I'm asked to wear a mask, I will. No questions asked.

I mask according to the rules of where I go.

Sort of baffled how this incredibly obvious poll option was left out.
