Suppose whatever you want. That is your right. But in my opinion, the end result of American Libertarianism...IS ANARCHY.

and your politics-will end in "The Killing Fields"

There was nothing stupid about my statement.

sure it is, you don't understand that most libertarians see the courts, police, army etc as legitimate public institutions

I understand that most Libertarians claim to see the courts, police, and army as legitimate public institutions...but I tend to listen more to the music than the lyric. And the lyrics I am hearing indicated that no matter how much "individual freedom" you give a professed Libertarian...it will never quire be enough.

I say that anyone using the descriptor "libertarian" to hide the fact that he/she is a far right wing nut...should have his/her puppet strings adjusted.

and I see someone who is a far left collectivist but who claims to be "independent" as dishonest and afraid to proclaim he wants to live as a perpetual child with a nanny state controlling his life

Not sure where you see this fictional character, Dude...but it certainly is not moi.

I guess lashing-out is your way of dealing with disappointment...right?

I guess evasions and red herrings are what we get from the left. You want to make moronic misinterpretations of the libertarian movement? Fine, I will counter with the same about you nanny state lefties

Okay with me.

When do you want me to start misinterpreting the "Libertarian movement." (Any relation to a bowel movement?)

First of all, the statement "no matter how much individual freedom you give" is a ridiculous assertion that assumes freedom is given and not taken. Second of all, even libertarians like myself that are considered voluntaryists have standards for acceptable and unacceptable behavior.

Yeah...those racist right libertarians conspiring to give minorities a hard time by keeping the government out of their lives

by "keeping government out of their lives" do you mean sending 1 in 3 of them too prison, and making sure police murder their unarrmed kids? No, you must mean cutting rich peoples taxes, and making it easier for bosses discriminate against them, or is it cutting environmental regulations so their air remains polluted and their water is filled with lead? Or removing every single proven economic program that helped them overcome poverty after segregation?

Maybe it the firm stance "libertarians" have towards abolishing the civil rights act, and the emancipation proclamation (since we all know how much black people in america has those two laws)? is that what you mean by "keeping government out of their lives"?

I gotta admit its a great slogan

Why do you believe people don't have the right to discriminate against others? If a really ugly woman asked you out and everything in your being was screaming **** no, would it be wrong of you to decline?

get out of the cult henrin

First of all, the statement "no matter how much individual freedom you give" is a ridiculous assertion that assumes freedom is given and not taken.

Baloney.

It is a turn of phrase that I used...and if you are unable to see it, I will rephrase it for you.

No matter how much individual freedom some people take...they will always be giving reasons for taking more.

Libertarianism...is a pathway to anarchy.

Society...civilization...DEMANDS that individuals give up significant portions of "individual freedom" in order to function. Libertarianism is a cancer on the needs society and civilization require.

Second of all, even libertarians like myself that are considered voluntaryists have standards for acceptable and unacceptable behavior.

Then you must be excluding yourself from my comments, right?

And those whose "standards of acceptable behavior" are at odds with what society requires of us all...simply get a free ride?

Libertarianism...is a pathway to anarchy.

Respectfully as this can be offered: No thinking person should ever adopt it as a descriptor.

I say it's up to you to decide. As for me, I would decline the offer.

alright and when exactly did stefan molyneaux say the exact date would be that the police are going show up to your door and force you too have sex with an ugly black woman? Or this just one of those "any day now" kinda prophesies?

People like yourself act as if discrimination is wrong and somehow not a right of the people. Bringing up discrimination in dating choices is a nice example to use to debunk that theory.

Hell, it's even hard to say that I'm actually a Libertarian. More of a 'Conservatarian'. I believe in the Conservative values of small government, self determination and above all Liberty. But I deplore the injection of religion into the public sphere as most Conservatives of today will do. I detest the 'Morale Majority' and anyone who uses government to legislate their morality to the masses. I reject the Libertarian notion of open borders, but embrace the notion of limited foreign intervention.

Six of one, half-dozen of the other, if you will.

There is no practical small government way of building an interstate highway system, securing our borders or defending our nation from outside invasion. IMHO, what makes a right libertarian is honestly evaluating the role and level of government required to provide adequate safety, order and infrastructure while preserving maximum practical individual freedom.

Bear in mind that 'small' government is a relative term.

Thats like if i throw a piece of chewing gum at you and you responded by throwing a brick at me, then you say "whats the difference, we both threw things at eachother"

Why can't employers reject to employee someone for any reason?

Anyway, it would appear you agree with me that discrimination is in fact a right, so now we are just down to you trying to figure out how to limit that right.

in the same sense that the ability too throw things is a right, sure why not?
