Hypothetically, if everything could re-open tomorrow with the contingency that EVERYONE wears a mask, would you wear one?

For me personally, I wouldn't have to, work from home, wear one once a week to the grocery store etc. This has affected me without really affecting, I'm still doing the same **** I do every day, just more hyper aware when I do go out.

As far as re-opening up, I don't think a lot of people are going to rush to it, it's gonna be in stages.....a lot of stages, that's the way it has to be done....

You can't take a production plant that is 100% closed, and flip a switch, you need to bring in one shift, space them out, then a 2nd, hell maybe create a 3rd to keep everyone working etc, but it has to be a gradual uptick, not zero to 100

You could look to Hong Kong as a model. Their population is denser than new York. They didn't shut down. What they did do though is mask up right away and so far have only 4 deaths attributed to Covid-19.

A mask is ineffective. I think the government needs to create an app where they can track the movement and steps of everyone with the virus. They simply download the app and we have their information. The government can give authority for Facebook or Google to run the app.

I think a lot of people would agree with that. IMO that is a lot easier than tracking each individual by implanting a tracking device in the subject's arm.

Sure.

I don't wear a mask now, but if it would calm down all that freaking out by liberals and dems, I'd do it ... because I know it would only be for a short time.

Wow.....I get it tracking and tracing is important....but that's way to 1984ish for me.........you wanna talk about a slippery slope.....that's the biggest one of all...

Absolutely not! In fact I made the extermely difficult decision to tell my cat goodbye in the car just to not wear a mask in the veterinary hospital, where every person is required to wear one.

Yes, if everyone had to wear a mask in order to help prevent unknowingly spreading COVID-19 I would certainly wear one. I wear one when I go out now.

Well, we're almost there ...

"An Illinois judge has ordered that the McHenry County Health Department hand the names of those who have tested positive to coronavirus over to police. ..."

A mask is effective for you (if infected) from transmitting COVID. It's proven, your ignorance is astounding. Do us all a favor and just stop posting your ignorance. You don't care about others, you only care about yourself. This is proven. Just stop dude, there are others literally laughing at your ignorance.

We should reopen with the provision we continue social distancing, if necessary wear a mask, elderly and those with underlying medical conditions (high risk people) to continue to isolate and no events with large crowds like sporting events and concerts. Parks and beaches should reopen with social distancing enforcement.

It's the continual contact with the infected and contaminated surfaces, then touching the face, eyes, and mouth that causes people to contract the disease. Just wearing masks, generally, won't prevent infection rates as much as shutting-in.

Well, I'm thinking if we all had to walk around every day wearing masks, then we shouldn't be re-opening. If that did happen, I imagine I would definitely wear one, I'm not an inbred cultist or religious nut, and I do care about my health.

I'm with you, not for the tracking and tracing apps at all....slippery slope indeed.

Do you want to work? Sometimes we will have to sacrifice your personal liberties and freedom. A tracking device will help us know where the infected congregate.

Shutting in is not a permanent solution, it's not even a long term temporary solution, it can't be.

Problem is people just aren't smart, they are stupid as hell, and it's always, that won't happen to me, it won't happen to me, so they go along their daily lives, maybe wash their hands once more a day etc. That's why these FORCED stay at home, are necessary, you have to scare the stupid out of them.....but it can't be long term.

What, do you think it's a ****ing cult, and they have a secret ****ing hideout? Seriously?

How about this, go to work, don't socialize, do your ****ing job, don't touch your face, wash your hands a bit more, go home, wash them again....it ain't ****ing rocket science.

I'd prefer the government, who everyone can ****ing trust because they care for everyone, the little people as well, stay the **** out of the lives of everyone, stop trying to control everyone. Tracking and tracing is important, do you think the government is going to just what, give up tracking after this has dies down if they do it nationwide, **** no, they will find another excuse.

Google and Apple have teamed up to build software to trace who’s been infected by Covid-19 directly into iOS and Android, the two operating systems that power almost 100% of the world’s smartphones.

Apple, Google coronavirus tracing plan: What it needs to work

IMO we cannot force the infected to download and utilize the app, but companies can FORCE people to use the app if they want to work again. IMO this is a very good idea. Google and Apple are top notch companies.

I think google and apple are brands people trust. People love buying phones. People love using Gmail and google.
