You know, rev, I'm still waiting for a response.

I have said it before and I will say it again. He will be the David Dinkins of the White house.

Which I have to thank Mr. Dinkins. Since I was not black enough to be NYPD I joined the AF instead.

There is no evidence that Obama will favor hiring black aides over white ones. David Axelrod is white. The majority of Obama's election team is white. Some of the surrogates he's worked most closely with are white. (McCaskill and Sebelius come to mind.) I really see no evidence that Obama would favor blacks over whites in his administration.

What evidence do you have? That his preacher said some things? What he said some things that could be construed a certain way if you try hard enough? You have a tough sell, rev.

I am not afraid of people for the color of their skin. I am however afraid of people for the way they dress, carry themselves, or approach me. This may be wrong of me, but I can't help it. I actually only got this way since I've been in the Navy. I was told too many times that I trust people too much, so now I am paranoid, go figure. There are a few things that make me leary about people I don't know when they are near me or walking toward my direction:

1. if they are staring right at me, and whatever look I am getting makes me believe that they are going to approach me
2. what they are wearing concerns me, for example if someone walked up to me wearing a suit I'd give them a little more trust then if they were wearing dirty, tattered clothes or baggy clothes, I consider a person in a nice suit should have better ways to make money than to rob me, whether it's true or not
3. someone walking towards me with their hands in their pockets and no one else around
4. someone who appears to be swaying or walking kinda funny
5. people who asks random and/or personal questions
6. anyone who appears to be staring at me for a while without approaching me

All these people may have valid, innocent reasons for the way they are acting, but I just can't help but be kind of leary if only because there have been times when I have come across people who have shown one or more of these traits and they scared me to the point where even today I am happy that I was in a public place at the time.

Hmmm... "white man's greed" section page 94 of his book. Have you read it? He seems to view races differently.

:rofl Is that the only page in the book you are familiar with? Are you saying that white people aren't greedy?

No more so and no less so than any other ENTIRE RACE of peoples.

Are you saying they are?

Greed is something that all humans are capable of. If you read the book in context, you would understand why he is talking about "white man's greed".

Tell me the context. and demonstrate in quotes how you arrived at your conclusion of excusing him at every turn.

Don't know why I bother though you all never answer.

Are you going to buy me a copy of the book, so I can read it? Because otherwise, I don't know the context. Do you even own the book, or did you get the quotes off of some website:roll:

Have you actually read the book? Further, has Obama taken any action that favored blacks over whites? Did he maybe propose a policy to favor blacks over whites? Or are you just frightened of scary black people? Because you seem to throw everything but the kitchen sink at Obama in the vain hope that something will stick.

Sorry bout that, but Reverend Wright did stick. And with good reason.

I don't want Navy Pride to chide me for going off topic. Start a thread about "white man's greed". I have the book.

Now back on the topic. Are black people scary and should we call them names? ;)

It's only stuck for people who need to propagandize it for the purpose of rallying their party. It will be such old news by November that the independents/moderates will be focused on issues.

I doubt it. The issue will be revived in force when it comes to the general election. Something that big doesn't just die down...

It's not as big as the economy and Iraq. Niether are Hagee's comments about God sending the world Hitler so the Jews could go back to Israel.

I made this thread and grant you the autonomy to go off topic. :2wave:

That is wonderful

I read a lot. and very very fast. I did indeed read his book. but as usual you are avoiding the issue and starting to talk about the greatness that is the Good Reverend. It's like you are so enamored with me you can't help yourself.

so now without a shred of evidence you are acting like a fool and accusing me of being a racist. Did you even read my responses in this thread before your brain pulled the trigger on that nonsense?

btw how come all of you obama supporters run from my obama on the issues threads. there are at least 5 and weren't you the one whining that I don't post about his issues?

A battle! Nice!

nah don't get your hopes up. just like i don't anymore trying to get obama supporters to discuss his policies.

aint happening. :2wave:

Don't get all soft now...

A battle is a battle, no matter how some try to avoid it. :2wave:

Page 94 has no mention of "white man's greed". :rofl

Try 293 where he is quoting Rev. Wright. ;)

You are right. page 94 he was talking about how to apease whitey by not being a loud boisterous black man or something.

Same thing he sees us differently.

Are you saying that you don't see the races differently?
