Yeah, there are specific cultural aspects that are dominant in some minority cultures that show a lack of respect for authority.
Yeah because minorities woke up one day and thought 'wow, let's just hate police officers from now for no reason whatsoever'
Respect is earned for any individual
I give respect when it is due.
No doubt it is the same for any other individual.
LOL
I don't give a **** if I have done nothing wrong
No police officer should have the right to search me unless they can prove I have done something wrong and especially not on the cause of race. Lazy policing right there.
It's my right to privacy and I don't want the goddamn State taking it away from me and giving it to the untrustworthy. The police should NEVER have the right to stop and search unless they have some evidence for that individual doing something illegal or prove beyond reasonable doubt they had a cause.
Cultural sometimes referring to old racist ass parents who beat this image of evil mean racist police (the ones they dealt with in the south during civil rights times) as the standard every day run of the mill cop. So thus created the false acusation of racism every time a white cop does something to a poor uneducated black person.
Actually I gave you links from BBC, Independent, Guardian.
Independent is highly respect.
Would you prefer daily mail?
This is not a 'one paper' thing. All papers say the same thing, even those scary right wing ones
And they don't - and abuse of your right can get someone's ass in hot water.
In my law class the other day I was the ONLY one arguing *for* that right to privacy/no-search. My teacher and many others were saying "denying a search when you're pulled over is almost like admitting your guilt - if you have nothing to hide then why say 'no'?" (I'm paraphrasing, of course)
Image perhaps that a few would have but unless something is done to enforce that, it would not affect them to the point of them actively disliking/- police. If they see a friend and/or them or someone they know being what they see "untreated unfairly" then that image would be driven home
The US Black/Cop relation would be different (because of the previous history with civil rights/slavery etc. etc) so that may be something that is very prevalent. I'll take your word on that
But the paper itself doesn't write it... and individual does.
An Individual with a bias isn't hard to come by, especially when dealing with law enforcement.
Disrespect should also be earned.
Not just given to someone because they are wearing a uniform.
If more blacks would stop blaming their race on their problems, they'd realize they have alot more opportunities than if they hold themselves back because of it.
Ahh I see, so then are all the papers biased in this issue? I would think that because it is such a wide range and from different political spectrum agreeing actually means it may not all be rubbish.
When you set out to write an article about racist cops... You'll get an article about racist cops.
If its not a specific news event that occurred, the article had a purpose before it was written.
. If they see a friend and/or them or someone they know being what they see "untreated unfairly" then that image would be driven home

Now, when white people go on about rants on not being treated fairly or disrespected... they blame the problem on the person who was doing the disrespecting just being an ass or something. But more often than not, the excuse for poor treatment or what not is racial.
Get back to me when;

2. Your identity puts your citizenship status in immediate question
3. Your job is automatically assumed that your a product of Affirmative Action
