Cops don't even pretend to protect life, liberty, or property. Hence they are worthless.
Worthless, huh? That's an odd thing to say.
I don't think there is any law enforcement system or police force in the world that is perfect, but without some sort of security bad things happen to people living in a society. I am not saying cops are perfect, but our society is much better off with police departments than it is without them. And the need for police becomes greater as a population becomes more dense.
You appear to have an all or nothing mentality. I am beginning to think you want a utopian society, a perfect society, based on a "perfect" ideology, but that's not possible.
Ok, here's one:
No government has ever even come close to that.
So what if no government has come close to some perfect ideal? I didn't say it was perfect. And why do you need it to be perfect?
No, it isn't. It's the filthy state that throws people in prison for the "crime" of harming no one.
1. You mentioned prostitution is a victimless crime. That's not quite true. There are many circumstances where people are forced into prostitution.
2. I didn't even mention arrest or imprisonment. I focused more on the sort of abusive relationships and violent conflicts that arise in a lawless environment.
That's right, and rules made by the market are superior to rules made by politicians.
In many circumstances, yes, especially as it applies to economic transactions. But in an environment where there are no laws or the Rule of Law doesn't function well an economy can suffer.
Let me give you an example:
A number of social and economic factors have astonishing correlations with a nation's political behavior
www.theatlantic.com
Corruption and Economic Development: Corruption is closely associated with the overall level of economic development: The richer the country, the less corrupt it tends to be (the correlation coefficient between CPI and GDP per capita is .81). The above chart shows this graphically, with wealthier, more advanced nations clustered at the top, and poorer, less developed nations clustered at the bottom.
All this demonstrates is how little you know about the subject.
Which subject? Your strange ideology that you think solves all problems? You like private armies too? How well did that work out for the Roman Republic?
