I constantly read on this message board from Trump supporters that those who question anything about Trump and his people's ties to the Russians. I find it interesting in that first we know that the Russians interfered with our election. That some of Trump's people were being paid by the Russians while working for trump. i.e., Flynn and others. That at least one we know of was reporting to the Russians, Flynn, Manafort and Sessions either during the campaign or afterwards. Now Trump has fired three people who were involved in looking into the Russian connections with Trump and his people. All of this Trump supporters on this message board is consider being just hysterical and not worth looking into. What I find interesting is that these same people investigated both Clinton's for years, and Hillary especially. What was it, seven or eight investigations into Benghazi that turned up nothing. Even the email situation with Clinton was a joke when you think the Trump had his top security adviser, who was sitting in on classified briefings, and at the same time taking money from the Russians and Turkey and reporting to a Russian spy. I don't think people who are worried about Trump and his connections with Russia are being in the least hysterical. What I do think is the people who continue to support Trump after all they put Clinton through are just being hypocritical. I hope against hope that the FBI will be allowed to finish their investigations of Trump, but it won't happen. The GOP will see that it ends without any damage to their party, even though it will do major damage to us here and across the world.

When was General Flynn reporting to a Russian spy?

hold on to your hat mr. independent. if taking money from the Russians are signs of guilt you will want to know Hillary has taken more money from Russian interests than everyone in the Trump Administration COMBINED.

and that's just the tip of the iceberg. So I'm sure you will now be saying we should look into that as well, or do you just want to confess to being a total hypocrite that doesn't know what's going on?

Having contacts and/or investments in Russia is not a crime. But the political left is using non-criminal behavior to further their CT that crimes were committed. There is zero evidence that Trump or anyone else colluded with the Russians with regard to the election. When you come up with evidence of that, I will be interested. Until then its nothing more than CT nonsense.

Well maybe if these so called liberals could back up their so called claims against our so called president then maybe the so called media would finally be able to prove that the so called russian interference in the so called election really was proof of so called hacking and so called fake news and then we could put the so called controversy into so called rest.

He talked to the Russian ambassador who is not only a spy, but actually recruits spies. Flynn told him not to worry about Obama's sanctions against Russia.

Donald Trump is President. Hillary Clinton is an irrelevant ex-politician. "Butbutbut Hillary!" doesn't cut it as an excuse for the President.

What do you call firing the three people who were investigating the possible Trump-Russia connection. A president resigned for less than this. And why is a top security adviser, who has been paid by the Russians, running to the top Russian spy in the USA telling him not to worry about the sanctions and possible other things. These things don't worry trump supporters as it is party, Trump and the wealthy before country every time with Trumpsters. That is certainly something we have learned.

Don't wanna shock you, but a number of US Senators of both Parties have talked to that same Russian ambassador. That's what they do as a matter of course.

It is not that they talked to him, but what they talked about.

The radical Trumpistani jidhadists are very afraid of these investigations.

They should be.

When found out and convicted, they will lose liberty and home and family, and perhaps life.

How many phoned the Russian ambassador on the same day the President announced sanctions against Russia? Would you say they were going behind the President's back?

Which Senator made that call?

What is this, Show and Tell? The OP answers the OP question by example in the affirmative. :)

There are these things called "paragraphs". Look into them.

Are you sure it was Flynn who made the call?

Why would he say he had if he hadn't? Also, there's a transcript of it- the ambassadors phone was tapped, as a matter of routine. Flynn knew that, of course. The transcript is classified, but somebody has leaked an analysis of it. An 'anonymous source' has said nothing illegal was discussed.
A better question is, who told him to make the call? Was he told to keep it secret, and that's why he lied to Pence about it?

I guess you are behind on the news. Hillary has recently received plenty of face time in public with her ongoing pity party.

Do you know why Flynn was paid ?? And, do you when Flynn was paid ??

I never saw anything that said Flynn called Kislyak.
I saw that Kislyak requested in an email that he call Flynn to discuss a Trump/Putin call and apparently he then made the call.
I also saw that there was a transcript of the call and while peons like us were never given access to it, someone somewhere was told or characterized the call contents as sanctions being "discussed".
Pardon me if I don't hang the guy over what may be a casual, or careless, use of the word "discussed" by either the FBI or whoever it was leaked to.
It wouldn't be a big surprise someone would deny "discussing" something if it didn't amount to a "discussion" in order to save a ****load of additional questions.
But the FBI doesn't care for the parsed words defense.

From the National Review...

"It was in this frenzied setting that General Flynn made a stupid mistake. He picked up the phone and called Russian Ambassador Kislyak.
It is hard to quantify how dumb this was. Flynn, a retired three-star Army general, is not just a long-time intelligence veteran. He was the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). How could he not have realized that, even in the best of times, Russian officials are routinely monitored under FISA — and this, far from the best of times, was a time of high suspicion? It seems inconceivable that Flynn did not consider the likelihood, the virtual certainty, that he was calling a wiretapped line, that his call would be recorded and reviewed by the intelligence community — a community he was part of and has made a business of antagonizing since being fired by Obama in 2014."

"Even if the call had been prearranged by text messages (the two men have known each other since Flynn’s DIA days), how could Flynn have gone through with it when Obama’s announcement of punitive measures that very day made it a certainty that Kislyak would mention them? It makes no difference that Flynn had no intention or authority to make a deal with Russia on Trump’s behalf. If Kislyak broached the subject of relief from Obama’s actions — something that Flynn would be powerless to prevent him from doing — it could then be reported, accurately if misleadingly, that they had “discussed the sanctions.”

So they, the National Review, agree with you that the word 'discussed' could mean many things, but all that's needed is for one of those things to be accurate to make Flynn in jeopardy. Because all that's needed is sanctions to be mentioned by either party for Flynn to be stepping 'way out of line. I mean, what on earth possessed him to make that call, on that day? I still maintain that he must have been told to make it.

I'm not sure it matters that much, but McCarthy's sentence structure & word choice notwithstanding, the fact that it was Kislyak's number that was being wiretapped may suggest Flynn, as the incidental capture was the recipient of the call. I've seen it reported that Kislyak called him.
I say it may not matter much because they apparently had numerous phone conversations.
Yes, the timing with the sanctions is unfortunate.
