I've dated many a pretty country girl. All of them were chronic alcoholics but would look at you like you were crazy if you even remotely suggested this glaring fact to them (130 pound women that would sit there and outdrink a 250 pound man then claim to not be an alcoholic after having her stomach pumped at the local hospital).
I'd just never seen it. I'm from suburbia and I had a rosy view of the 'Ideal, Conservative Country Girl'. No more. I've come to find it's actually suburban girls that tend to be conservative and that most country girls and city girls are chronic alcoholics from an early age, especially country girls.

wow, go to a bar to meet women and then find out they actually drink
astounding discovery!
next thing you know you'll find out that country gals actually get pregnant:
I know that...now.

If you grow up in a family of alcoholics, you are likely to become an alcoholic. Some ethnicities encourage heavy drinking. I'm country and a lot of rural activity centers around the popular gin mill. I've bartended these joints in the past. If you want to know which ones of the drinking damsels are alcoholics, show up at closing time and mention you have a bottle of whiskey. It's like fishing. Guess who takes the bait. Not surprisingly, in a bar, you find barflies. You don't take a bottle of closing time bait to a church social.
My theory is that doing so much meth makes them thirsty.
Go for the big country girls and toss those little 130 pounders back.
Not in Texas.

I grew up in the country. We didn't have even DSL back in the '50s, or cable TV, or any TV for a long time, or cell phones, or any phones for a long time. Video games were unheard of. We didn't have ATVs to ride, other than bikes with no gears, those were our ATVs.
Still there was hunting and fishing, shooting cans in the back yard, roaming the hills, riding sleds down the hills, staging snowball fights, exploring old mines, experimenting with blasting caps and other explosive devices. We had plenty to do, and more than enough ways to get into trouble.
I think you make your own fun, or not, according to the decisions you make.
Of course they are. The men are too, which is why the women must be just to get along. How else can one explain some of the vehicles that are on the roads around here? They make Ralph Nader look like such a *****. You haven't lived until you get into a truck with a half-drunken red neck version of Evil Knievel - the truck has back brakes only, no hood or exhaust, and the floor section over the transmission has been removed to expose the brake master cylinder in case it runs dry. It always helps to be drunk in those situations. I don't blame the women at all.
Goofy thought process.
Like attracts like. Should a drunk not want to meet another drunk one should get out of the bars.

That was my problem when I lived in Vegas. I didn't want a drunk or a gambler, so where do you go to meet women?
Serious question? Try the produce section, and deli, or any other section of a market; or shopping mall. Play dumb, need help choosing something.
Ask questions... how do you prepare and eat artichokes? Any question will be a starter.
Good hunting

Actually the fellow I had in mind drives an old Dodge one ton diesel with a flat bed you can almost see when the junk is removed. It's rust and metallic blue with half of a vertical exhaust stack on one side. I guess the other side just pours out somewhere under the hood. It's lovely. Good guess on the Dodge.Would that be a flat nose Econoline or Dodge truck?

Actually, it's beside it, but I think it's been somewhat relocated due to rust. I had a 1956 Chevy 2 ton logging truck which had a similar location, but it surely isn't the norm anymore. I rode in "Earl's" truck up what he calls his driveway once to give him a hand unloading a piece of equipment (trackhoe) he was hauling in for repair. Yup. He's a heavy equipment mechanic. And no, I wouldn't ride in anything old Earl touches. It's hard to believe the exhaust hasn't killed him, but usually he's so drunk it'd be hard to tell. The master cylinder under the transmission tunnel threw me. Usually it is under the hood, except on the flat nose trucks.
If I were you, I wouldn't get into that truck. The exhaust can kill you.
