Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in Sheol where you are going.

Hell seems to be one of the hardest of the conservative Christian beliefs to deprogram from. It's the ultimate threat that they make. Without it, their dogma has no power.
Actually, there is ZERO power in the imaginations of being in Hell to change the heart. It's a complete non-starter, and as far as I know, almost nobody in the conservative Christian circles that I run in even mention it.

we Cringe at the thought of hell Mule.

we point people who need God to heaven and Salvation hope in Jesus, that is what they need.

until they are Desperate, God will work on their heart illuminating their failed ways.

the sinner cries out to God: oh Lord i am Desperate, down on my knees

Oh God I’m desperate
Down on my knees
Send help from Heaven
Cuz that’s what I need

Redeem this wreckage
Restore my peace
I’m not asking I’m begging
Lord come through for me

Desperate leading to light.

.

There is no reason to...

Daisy, i cringe at many things; hell is on a Long List of things to cringe.

thankfully we have remedy and good remedy....

Send help from Heaven
Cuz that’s what I need
Redeem this wreckage
Restore my peace
I’m not asking I’m begging
Lord come through for me

I've done far too many bad things. And burned too many bridges. I don't even try to live a Christian life. I never repent or say sorry. Hell is appropriate punishment for my actions.
Why are you confessing this here if you never have regrets?

Huh?

Bullshit. It's the stick in the carrot-and-stick model that conservative Christianity preaches. After all, without Hell, what's the incentive not to sin?
Unless you hang in those circles, you probably don't know what you're talking about.

:ROFLMAO:

You have no clue why I left. None. I'll give you a clue: Attitudes such as yours didn't entice me to stay. :)
What attitude? Sounds like you were running with a bunch of folks whose only reason for Christianity was some get out of hell free card.

But to broad-brush the other 80 million folks out of your disdain for circus peanut is probably a tad misplaced.

:ROFLMAO:

You continue to spew your hateful ignorance about who I am and where I come from. And newsflash, I am not the subject of this thread.

But to broad-brush the other 80 million folks out of your disdain for circus peanut is probably a tad misplaced.

"Circus peanuts" is a pretty good descriptor of conservative Christianity. You people sell Republican Jesus bullshit while completely ignoring what the real Jesus said in the Beatitudes.

One, we don't know what goes on in God's Kingdom. Jesus said that the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard what he has waiting for those who love him and, eventually, ALL will love him!

Sure. "All shall love me and despair!" - Galadriel, the Lord of the Rings

That reminds me of the old Communist joke...

Revolutionary: "Come the revolution, you will eat strawberries and cream!"
Man: "Actually I don't like strawberries."
Revolutionary: "Come the revolution, you will eat strawberries and cream, and LIKE IT!"

What you wrote - "ALL will love him!" - sounds chilling. It sounds like God is going to change me into some twisted version of me that I am inherently not. That won't be me mindlessly parroting the praise. That will be the sycophantic zombie me that God seems to need to feed his universe-sized ego.

Two, how would you feel to find yourself in Heaven with a perfect, youthful, incorruptible, body and seeing all of the people and animal that you've ever loved there with you in similarly perfected bodies?
So no more advancement. No striving. No reason to try to be a better person. Just sit around all day and get perfect-high on the perfect-smell of God's perfect-farts.

God is real. God created you. You are God's child. God loves you. What I described above is your ultimate destiny.
I need an opt-out.

I didn't vote for him. And I don't support him.

Again, you don't know what you're talking about.

fear is a good thing if it motivates you to do the Right Thing

and you can. and then reap the Rewards, lots of them.

blessings Gordy: forever.

.
It sure doesn't seem to be helping the Evangelical community here in the US as they worship a 34-count convicted felon, rapist, financial fraud, liar, and prostitute client as their leader and representative.

I didn't vote for him. And I don't support him.

If you're talking about tRump, I didn't even bring him up. You did.

Again, you don't know what you're talking about.

:ROFLMAO:

How many times have you conservative Christians pushed the Beatitudes into school classrooms?
